Beautiful pub and surroundings. Disappointing service! After a very hot three hour car journey we arrived at the Bodkin and thought we would stop in for a drink. On our arrival (on a Friday @ 4pm) we were told the bar is not ready for the day and could we please come back later. After 30 minutes of sitting out...

We live in Tetbury and pass Bodkin House on an almost daily basis. So why on earth have we not been there before. We have been there this evening on a Groupon Deal and we didn't know quite what to expect but we were so impressed we have booked for Thursday evening for their steak night. Tonight was absolutely fabulous...

This is a lovely quirky hotel with lovely grounds. The food in the restaurant is very good albeit a little on the pricey side. The room was lovely and comfortable. Our room was at the back of the hotel which was better as it is on a busy main road. On the negative side, the hotel website states wifi, this...

The house and garden really is picturesque and we were there on a lovely warm day so we were able to enjoy sitting outside as well, once we had finished. We booked for high tea and had a room inside just for ourselves. Again, the room was gorgeously made up and the atmosphere the decor and furnishings created was lovely....

This is a beautiful and quirky building with lovely open grounds in a lovely area. Unfortunately, it is on a busy and very noisy road but this is nobody's fault, just geography. We booked a superior double (the Jane Austen room but why it was called that is unfathomable - there were a few JA books on the book shelf...

After a long day at work. Colleagues and I decided to visit here for our evening meal (we already had to visit this location for another purpose). I had heard average things about the hotel itself but not much about the food so I went in with a clear mind. The food was good. Service could do with a little...

The hotel offers good accommodation, I have stayed in two rooms over the past month the Jane Austin Room is excellent. The restaurant offers good food at very reasonable prices. The breakfasts are very good and offer flexibility. The hotel is situated in large grounds with plenty of space for outside dining. It is a traditional hotel that dates back...

Small, independent hotel in pleasant grounds and well-situated for Badminton, Chipping Sodbury and Bath. Chosen partly due to pictures on website, including children's play area, but this proved to be in very poor repair. Work needed to bring decor throughout hotel to same level as the room showcased on website. Lacked customer-service focus, with our stay marred by an argumentative...

Looks great and has all the Cotswold's potential you'd like, it is on a main road but people are meant to do 40 mph - which they don't do - which is a shame - however, the people are just not welcoming - which is also a shame as there is real potential here for a great place - family...
