My girlfriend and I had a great stay with Santosh and his lovely family. Santosh ensured that we were both well looked after and he had a wealth of knowledge about the local area. On one day, Santosh introduced us to a local Hindu festival which was really interesting and a great opportunity to experience the local culture in Wayanad. The farm itself is a great opportunity to escape the hustle and bustle of the big Indian cities and fully immerse yourself within nature. The rooms are spacious and there was plenty of room to practice yoga in the mornings. Also, his families cooking was delicious and full of flavour. Would highly recommend this place if you are looking for idealistic escape from city life.
Spacious and clean room, with friendly and hospitable family making delicious food. The place is very peaceful and in the middle of nowhere, but it's surprisingly easy to get around with buses and autos. They have a big farm/garden which Santhosh can guide you through, however we were sorry to miss that opportunity.
Lovely family. Santosh, his wife, daughter and staff were all very friendly and helpful. You are a 10-15 min walk from the bus, or 20 mins auto from Sultan Bathery, but if you are like me, you will be happy just hanging around your terrace or down by the stream. Food is great. Rooms are comfortable. Wayanad area is spread out, so it’s hard to see the sights without an auto or scooter / car, but if you just want to chill, this is a great place to do so.
This is a serene place to experience nature, relax, and slow down life's pace. It was wonderful to witness the bounty and abundance coming from the earth on this property, learn about the land, and eat the ingredients in fresh home-cooked Kerala cuisine. I enjoyed spending time here with the family.
Santosh and his family provided us with an excellent experience on their eco farm. The food provided is fresh and grown on the farm which was delicious and interesting to learn about. It is a great place to relax and there are also a number of day trips available in the region if you want to explore beyond the farm.
It was a pleasant stay and the owner of the farm house and his family is really nice and cordial.Rooms were clean and well maintained. Typically home made Kerala food was awesome. You'll feel a homely atmosphere.
This homestay is the best discovery of 2019 for me. Santosh and his family are so helpful, so welcoming - we felt like a part of the family. My son enjoyed the stay so much that he was crying when we were leaving. This homestay is in the lap of nature- if you are interested you will learn so much about farming during your stay from Santosh! The homely food prepared and served with care was a bliss! We found a lost childhood in the sounds of nature-stay here if you want to enjoy the nature sounds(cricket, duck etc.). I have stayed in multiple five star properties like Bellagio, Westin etc. - I have never received such care and connection with the hosts! If you are planning for a farmhouse stay in Wayanand- do yourself a favour and book this property. You will thank me for my advice!…
I had such a fantastic time with this friendly, kind and very helpful family. The rooms are huge and clean. The food is incredible. The farm itself is exquisite and so peaceful. I hope to return one day!
home stay is very clean and well maintained and Very Co operative staff, food was very good, we all liked it. Its completely greenery and can spend some quality time in farm with fresh air. We enjoyed a lot and would like to go again
Spice garden farmhouse is like a home with family members waiting to receive you, share warm meals with you, and discuss everything from local politics, state of farming, and natural history of the place. Santosh, his wife and daughter, their cousins are such warm people. They talked to us in every meal. We were also offered different varieties of plants for propagation back in our terrace garden. There's a little stream in the backyard with cane and bamboo groves where you can chill and relax. It's like a forest with tall trees and shaded spots. Excellent stay and warm people, I wholeheartedly recommend spice garden to people looking for authentic wayanad experience.
