Large rooms, homely food, courteous staff to make you feel at home, and a nice little resort at the center of the shopping area a bonus for ladies.

It's a good place to relax with group of family friends as the rooms are very large and they have few rooms having large private balconies where one can do the barbecues in the chilled evenings.

There is certainly improvement to make it more clean. Otherwise a great place to relax.

I had a bitter experience with this resort in May 2011. I personally went there and booked a elegant suite and paid advance and since i was permitted to choose a room i chose room 111. In the advance receipt the room no. was mentioned and the date of my stay and duration also mentioned. But when i went to check in @ 1.30 pm. on the particular day, the said room was occupied and i was made to wait to even check in to another room though they had plenty of time to keep a room ready for us to occupy since they were aware that i would check in on that day. When i questioned why i was not given the particular room though they committed to do so when i paid the advance there was an evasive reply from a staff Dinesh and he neither apologised nor courteous and instead started blaming me as not adjusting with them and he also asked me to take back the advance if i do not wish to stay in another room. I really had a bitter experience and i was totally embarassed and humiliated by the staff and even the marketing manager who later joined us did not apologise and instead only wanted to know what really happened. Their attitutde was so bad that one would not wish to stay there hence i got back the advance and checked in a nearby hotel Woodlands which was very good.

This resort may be new and good looking but do not get carried away by its attractions since the hospitality is poor and the staff are not guest friendly.

Response from wyndvalleygarden, Owner at Wynd Valley Garden Resort
Responded 20 May 2011
Normally we do not accept booking upon a particular room, but same category room will be allotted, since the room requested by the guest were occupied by a guest in the previous day, he extended his stay and the same was got released little late, when the Guest came our front office staff requested him to wait for 5 minutes to get the room cleaned and provided him a nearby by highest category room to rest till the room is cleaned, but he was so adamant to get the same room immediately or otherwise to refund the advance, since he was showing so much attitude we apologized him and paid the advance amount, later it is learnt that while coming here he has got a wrong advice from the nearest competitive hotel about us and he came here having so much in his mind. Actually he wanted to checkout from the nearest hotel and was intended to check in here, at the time when he came for booking our hotel he was blaming the other hotel, later he is praising the same.

Though the hotel is situated on the main road, the exact building is inside the large premises which makes the property calm. Classic rooms are old and not appealing. The Elegant rooms are spacious and have a balcony. They do have a big room to accommodate a group or a big family, which seems to be economical. Food is good and the best of all is their hospitality! They have good parking space and a children play area.

Simple spacious rooms with big bathrooms at reasonable price right on the Kalpetta Main road for the budget travellers. While we were offered a Room + Bfast+Dinner option for a family of 4 in a room, what we got is a little larger room with King size bed + 2 additional floor beds (not cots). There was a pic shown in whatsapp of a garden within a room but what we saw was just a space with artificial green mat - waste of space. Towels not washed properly, a balcony chair from bygone era (cannot sit), a tiny soap and dental kit, 26" LCD TV.
Breakfast was just ok but limited options Poori baaji, Bread butter jam, Idiappam+sagu and tea (sugary) + fruit juice (lesser said better). We were told to order only for Rs. 1000/- for 4 people for dinner as the cap. We skipped that and ate outside in woodlands - oppo. to the resort.
This is not a resort but a hotel with parking space. Board and website says kids pool, internet centre, games. We got non-AC rooms at 3.5K - not bad but not during summer.
See pic of so called internet centre (clothes, living area) , breakfast room chairs - all stained badly and not changed, see the ripped of roof and taped up false ceiling and garbage strewn all over.

Very Bad... It is not a Resort.. it is just equal to a Lodge...Had been last week in Dec.The Food was not edible.. The rice was half cooked. The facilities mentioned in the website are not there and even if some facilities like playing TT and other games are there, we were not allowed to avail them. Car parking is very small though they promise in the website that it is a huge parking space. Hardly 10 Cars can be parked there.

The Reception staff : We give them some feedback, they are not at all bothered to address the customer as well as take it. they are not at all friendly to the customer. hopeless behaviour from the Staff itself.

They are least bothered of the Bad review in they recieve through these wesites. The Manager is telling that if we want good food we have to get in and cook. In that case wat is so special goin to the resort.

Very Hopeless Resort to stay here,,, Never ever attempt to step into this resort..

This is a property you can trust if you are unsure of how to spend your trip in Wayanad. The team is perfect to make sure you get the best and even some of the very “hidden spots” in Wayanad. The manager is well aware of the nature craving traveler wants and will only be glad to show you around and help you find the hidden gems and views of Wayanad

My fiancé and I had come to this property for a night ..was only glad to learn how very pro-active the team was to help us out in making sure our stay was comfortable and hassle free. We so wished we could have stayed there more to know and learn more of Wayanad from the team.

I also recommend to try The restaurant here .they serves mouth watering and very authentic dishes , true to the taste of Kerala and Wayanad.

Nature lover? Then look no further , the team is perfect!!

The staff of this hotel doesn’t know how to take care of guests, shouldn’t work in hospitality. I work myself in the hospitalty and know where I’m talking about.
Several problems happened during my stay, but no one cares about you, I think It was the only guest at that moment. But they prefer to continue playing badminton. After falling down in the bathroom in front of the staff, having hardly any lights, 2 of the 8 lamps were working, no one can change the lights. They just say you should move your table under the light and move your bed. I was for several hours in the dark when they had serious electrical problems, it was like a disco light on/ off, but no one had given me a torche even when I did ask for it. Internet connexion was very bad.
I left the hotel in advance and didn’t wish to stay no longer.
