I am reviewing this taking into account the price paid - it was pretty inexpensive but clearly it isn't the most luxurious hotel in the world.

There was parking on site and the opportunity to buy a beer (but only up to 8pm most days, but seemingly not Sundays when reception closed earlier).

It was clean and functional enough.

Whilst the staff didn't speak a great deal of English, they were really friendly and we could communicate for most things but they were resourceful enough to use Google Translate when the need arose on the more complicated questions.

The breakfast was decent enough, without being spectacular.

The biggest downside was the fact that there was a fair bit of traffic noise as the hotel is situated right at the side of the road. There was no air conditioning in our room and the room faced the sun and it got pretty hot in there. When we opened the window it let the traffic noise in to a greater degree.

We would definitely consider staying there again as it is good value.

Every room was occupied, so presumably other people thought so, too (and quite a few had stayed there previously).

One strange thing though as another guest pointed out - it is the only hotel where the photos on the internet booking site make it look worse than it actually is!

Basic budget Hotel clean and tidy, staff were helpful would stay for 1 night again if required, its is not somewhere you would look to Holiday used more by business people and those like us looking for a budget room whilst going South etc.

There is a good restaurant as you come out of the Hotel turn left and its 500m on your right

This hotel seems to be the only one in the town and lies about 1km south of the city centre. It has a main building with a bar and a large area where breakfast is served in the morning. In this building there are rooms upstairs. Just inside, away from the main road, are some rooms around a small courtyard. I have stayed in one of those rooms. The room was basic but ok with a good bathroom (prefab) The TV was ok with good channels. There is WiFi which can be used for free when you sign in to some website which pops up when you connect and start your browser. The free use is slow but enough for e-mails, etc. For some extra money you can speed up the connection. Breakfast was basic but ok considering that the french are not that interested in breakfast. Staff is friendly but everybody is gone after roughly 21:00. Across the street is a restaurant which is part of the hotel. (I have not used this)

Back in this hotel after several years, I was pleasantly surprised by the transformations. I had the chance to stay in a bohemian themed room, beautifully decorated and offering an amazing experience. The bedding is of exceptional quality, and the neat decoration creates a unique atmosphere.
The little touches on our arrival is a real plus.
The rich and varied breakfast buffet delights all tastes. Congratulations to the team on this remarkable development!

I couldn’t be happier with the customer service received by Patricia from this hotel.
My boyfriend was at the hotel in a business trip and his birthday was in that week. After asking the hotel if they could prepare a small surprise for him in the room, I was impressed by the result and all the availability, effort and kindness Patricia showed in this process.
I felt extremely happy and my boyfriend had no words to describe his happiness too.
Thanks Patricia and the hotel for accommodating this in your agenda and for making a customer feel more comfortable in such a special day!

This is a small very well run family Hotel . We have stayed here for 2 nights in November ( our 4th year staying ). The rooms are very clean & have free WiFi
It is a Hotel that will appeal to the adventuress traveller who goes off the fast roads.
There is a Restaurant a short 200 meters away which serves good food . There are 3 menus
to choose from at prices from € 20 to €30 pp Saturday night seems to be music night .

When we found that the municipal camping was closed, in the gathering dark I went to a nearby bar, whose tender directed me to Les Paturelles not far out of town. In a jiffy we had two rooms for us, our three children, and dog. Total cost 150 euro including 7 each for breakfast.

For dinner, they directed us to their restaurant across the street, La Pen'tiere. There we had a nice dinner of meat grilled on the fireplace (my wife had the fish -- don't), with dames blanches for the kids. Plenty of cheese from Maroilles, just down the road. The dog was welcome under the table. Total 110 euro.

The double room at the hotel was tiny indeed, and stuffy, but you could open the window direct onto a field behind. The triple room upstairs was roomier. There were some motel-like rooms around the parking area, but we did not see them.

Staff was friendly, even over the phone a day or two later when we arranged to pass by again to pick up a personal pillow that my son had left behind.

Very nice home; hotel well located on the national road at a fair price.
at night you sleep with trucks and cars, not soundproof. The sheets are too small and you are quickly on the mattress pad, the taps splash (maintenance to be seen) and the shower is very narrow...lack of power outlet.
decent breakfast and very pleasant service person.
