After several months of lock down we three friends planned for jungle in north bengal and Chilapata was our 1st preferences. We stayed in CHILAPATA HOME STAY. It is situated near jungle and forest counter. Owner's behavior was very good. Foods were delicious. Staff behavior was awesome. They also arranged for a camp fire also. Room price is affordable. Contact person is Mr. Satyajit Roy ( 9903362610)
We had stayed one night at this facility. We found the place clean, crisp and guest-friendly. The owner, Mr. Satyajit Ray was personally available on the premises most of the time taking keen interest of things. As expected in a new set up, the rooms and bathrooms were clean. Amenities adequate. The staff were friendly. The garden will soon be up to the owner's satisfaction. On the whole, it is a good option if one intends to stay in Chilapata.
Access to the resort is smooth and ease. We(around 40 people) availed the resortfor three nights from5th jan 2020.At a glance at the entry-level of the resort is charming, neat & clean as well as picturesque. Rooms are spacious, neat & tidy with attached balcony in most of the rooms and with all basic amenities as well as spotless white bed-sheets & pillow covers. The blankets were warm & light weighted. Each room has a queen bed and a seperate divan accessible to sleep for three adults with ample space. The attached bathroom is neat and hygienic with large geyser usable even during power failure.Inside the premises there is a small park with swings, a small merry go round, a slip & a sea-saw for entertaining tiny toddlers & children.Throughout the premises the implanted flower plants were enhancing the beauty with multiple colours. A centrally placed AC dining hall which is clean and hygienic accomodates 36 people at a time. The head cook, Mr. Purkait with his magical hands prepares variety of lipsmacking delicious, medium spicy bengali culinaries with equal grace. Even the evening snacks served were equally good. All other staffs were softspoken, attentive and more or less prompt to their service. Last of all I must mention about the owner of the resort, Mr. Satyajit Roy, who is a straightforward and decent person , singlehandedly manages the problems of his staffs & guests with equal ease. Overall it's value for money considering the remoteness of its situation, quality of food and inhouse facilities.…
