Just got back from a 4 night stay at Atelier. Rooms were great with balconies and a very modern set up. Spent most of our time lounging on the beach and poolside. Beach was great with plenty of waiters making sure you had a cold drink and food whenever needed. There was definitely some seaweed, but not nearly as bad as we were expecting. The pool was fantastic with great service and plenty of activities. Food was probably the best we have had at an all inclusive. Decent night life with different activities each night (rock night was the best). Most of the staff couldn’t do enough for you (Felix at the urban cocktail bar, Telda at the pool restaurant, Marcos with the entertainment staff to name a few). Very friendly and interactive. We typically don’t go back to the same resort more than once, but kept saying that this could be the exception…that was until our last full day at the resort. My wife and I were lounging by the pool when one of the staff approached us and started chatting. It quickly turned into a sales pitch for their timeshare and I politely told him multiple times that we were not interested. He became increasingly aggressive and rude and I once again said please just leave us alone…we are just trying to enjoy our last day. Unfortunately, that did not deter him and he just got more aggressive and rude. Finally, I got very agitated and yelled at him to go away and leave us alone which caused a bit of a scene in the area. I noticed a manager in the area look up when this happened and I called him over asking who this guy was and why he was being so aggressive. He apologized and brought over the pool supervisor who also apologized and then asked for our room number to make things right (still not sure what he meant by that). Then, about 20 minutes later another gentleman approached us and asked for our room number. I asked why and he said that there was a couple matching our description and he wanted to see if it was us and that he would be right back and talk to us. I gave him our room number and he never came back. The whole situation was very creepy and made us really uncomfortable. That incident really put a damper on our last day and certainly made us not want to come back. The whole thing was really creepy and weird and we really didn’t feel completely safe especially with the second guy asking for our room number and then never coming back. Never experienced anything like that before and hope not to again.

Hotel's Favourite
This hotel has a lot going for it: - the pool: very big, clean, with extremely comfortable and plentiful loungers which are easy to move around, lots of sun shades and limitless, freshly laundered, good quality towels - food and drink: lots of choice, infinite supply, good food, beer, wine and cocktails included in your all inclusive deal. If you want to order from their wine list you can spend from a bit to a lot in each restaurant, and if you go to Maria Dolores, neither food or drink is included in the package. But otherwise, everything is. From the especially delicious tuna tostadas at El Suspiro to the flame grilled rib eye steaks at Los Abrazos, and the most delicious spring rolls at Takeshi, it's very impressive - the weather: I appreciate this is outside the control of the hotel, but its been really warm, with a lovely breeze, and barely any mosquitoes. Perfect! - the staff: almost all have been very friendly, helpful and enthusiastic despite what I perceive to be long days of hard work keeping all the guests happy - the hotel: very clean, well landscaped with lots of plants, great gym. This is a very well equipped hotel. Also really liked the econcierge facility for quick online chat enquiries, made extra easy by the Atelier app and excellent, reliable, strong WiFi literally everywhere at this hotel. A couple of minor niggles for me: - I was expecting at least some of the food to be spicy and it really wasn't. I get the need to cater for all palates so suggest doing what they do at the Cilento restaurant and leaving a pot of chilli flakes (or chilli oil), salt and pepper on each table - signage isn't great. When you've been here a few days it starts to make sense but when we arrived we weren't shown to our room but instead taken to a lift and told which floor to go to. We got lost, returned to reception and despite asking, couldn't get someone to show us. - the other guests: not helped by some very large groups attending the conference venue at the hotel and probably some all day drinking, some of the guests are seemingly unaware that this isn't exclusively their hotel. Very noisy and splashy and frankly self unaware. There are very few hotel rules (smoking areas, dress code in places, and not drinking in the pool) none of which were enforced by the staff - constant loud music by the pool. Mostly to my taste so generally not an issue for me, but when I could hear one set of tunes from the bar and another from the pool activity (eg aqua zumba) at the same time, it's less pleasant. In summary, a great value and high quality holiday probably best suited to sociable, lively guests who like to be entertained and get involved. Having said that, my husband and I are definitely not that kind of guest and we still had a great time and may well come back

We booked a Junior King Swim Out suite for 4 nights. The swim out was an *excellent* feature - whenever we came in from an activity or outing, it was bliss to just plop into the cool peaceful water... having a guaranteed semi-private bathing area was top notch. The room itself was gorgeous and not one detail was missed. The all-inclusive feature was also great and not confusing because everything really WAS included; and it was made clear to us the very few times something was not included (ie; specialty alcohols) We really enjoyed the activities that we tried - Bicycle Tour and Kayak Tour with Marcos. He knew so much about the area and answered all our questions, sprinkled with a good sense of humour. We also made use of the gym - tried the HIIT class with Aldo on our first day. He was very adaptable and incorporated movements he knew we'd enjoy. Aldo also negotiated the activity schedule so we could try the AquaStrong class on another day which was SUPER good fun; basically working out on SUP boards in the main pool. Guaranteed laughs and falling in. A special shoutout to Antonio - the omelette wizard at Mercado 19; he made every breakfast a delicious and satisfying experience and was kind enough to bear with my dodgy Spanish speaking attempts.

I've been going to Mexico for years, staying at various all inclusive properties. Most have been a great value for the money and expectations were met. This property has changed my criteria going forward. The entire experience was five star once we arrived. Most all inclusive provide acceptable meals, while this property provided exceptional food and top shelf drinks at every one of its restaurants and bars. Meals would cost 30-70 dollars each were they purchased stateside (lunch/dinner). Rooms were well designed and spacious. The bathtub in the middle of the room was a very nice addition. The bed was extremely comfortable. The wait staff and bartenders were personable and attentive. The "La Calle" bar was very surprising. The bartenders made some elaborate drinks that would amaze most mixologists. Give them an ingredient and they go to town on making it memorable. Pool bartenders were very friendly. Concepcion was one of the friendliest at the swim up bar. Really enjoyed talking with while at the pool. The activities staff were also amazing. Water volleyball and beach volleyball were so much fun we played everyday we were there. Hervey and team kept the games competitive but fun. They have great charisma and made everyone feel welcome regardless of skill level. The craft station on the beach was also a fun activity. Mixing sand and making your own keepsake was a fun couple activity. On our last night there was a concert on the beach next to a fire. It was romantic and relaxing. The band was great and had the crowd dancing along to their songs. All the activities, restaurant locations, and room service were easily found with their quality phone app. How could the property be improved? There could be some improvement on transportation to and from the airport. Purchasing an all inclusive there was fine print about the free airport shuttle. You have to reserve 72 hours in advance. Also, there was some sort of sales pitch they wanted us to attend. We weren't interested, but they called a few times to try and have us go. That aside, we are both looking forward to returning to the property in the near future. You won't be disappointed!
