Detailed Reviews
We were a group of 6 people. We called up Mahesh Chopdekar and deposited just a 1000 bucks (1 night charge advance) via Online Transfer to book the place for 3 nights. This place is bang on the beach. Food is very nice but also expensive. We were a lazy bunch hence did not venture out to Athiti Bamboo to eat food. Service is very good. The Chopdekar Bros have their own Water Sports stuff going on and it was all done with nice competitive rates and superb service. We had ventured into the water when the high tide was coming in. The owners had made one of their persons to sit and watch us just in case of any emergency. The Water Sports guys were very helpful, they took us for good amount of time and complied with our request to play songs on the boat etc. They took us to some good spots where we could click some real nice pics.I am in a hurry right now however i shall give a much better review in sometime. I was to visit this place again in March however due to some emergency i couldnt.
Dont miss this. Its basic but very nice.

I have been to this place three times so far i.e. 2010,2011,2013. Every time we had pleasant & peaceful stay. This resort is not exactly in Malvan but rather at Devbaug (8km from Malvan city & 2km ahead of famous tarkarli beach).
This resort is adjacent to Devbaug beach. Devbaug beach, in opinion is less crowded than Tarkarli but has similar pristine & clear waters.
Owner of this resort, Mr. Mahesh Chopdekar is very cooperative person. Resort has total 8 rooms which are basic but very neat & clean. As the resort is adjacent to beach it's like almost staying on the beach. You can hear tide sounds from your room.
The resort is run by Chopdekar family. So you get homemade food. Food is tasty. They provide Konkan style Veg & Non Veg thalis as a regular meals. If you have something specific in mind you have to tell well in advance so that they can plan for.
Tariff rates are generally reasonable & pocket friendly. Mahesh can also arrange for beach side camp fire on request. Also he will get you watersports are best bargain rates. Devbaug is small peaceful village so you will get different experience of spending time in typical Konkan village.
The resort does not serve booze so you will have to carry your stuff from Malvan. Parking is not an issue. Location, resort & the beach is absolutely safe. I had always visited with my friends but I have seen many families, couples, european backpackers having good time here.

I was the second person to review this place on TripAdvisor & like I had mentioned in my first review I had visited in 2010,2011,2013.
Now, I did another visit recently & noticed some changes. Hence I am reviewing this place again.
The place remains to be an great option for budget travelers/family travelers. Some new rooms have been added. AC units have been installed in most of the rooms. Still you could find negative reviews about this place recently.
I dwelled upon the truth behind it while speaking to the owner. I found some interesting bits as follows,
1.Price: Some people go for booking through online portals where prices mentioned are too high. As I am typing this review "Yatra" is offering me room here for Rs. 3696. This is daylight robbery. These portals do not pay the resort owner this much. Please contact resort owner Mahesh Chopadekar (9923651361) directly & he will give you realistic prices (2-3 times less; just to hint).
2. Name: The name of this place confuses the people. Its not resort, its a homestay. People go by the name of "resort" & get disappointed when they see actual place. This is neat & clean homestay, beach facing, AC equipped. Do not expect more than that.
3. Food: In earlier days owner's wife & sister use to cook the food for the guests. This food was always tasty though menu options were limited. But with no. of tourist increasing & more diversified tourists coming in (asking for Chinese, North Indian, South Indian food after coming to malvan :-) ), owner appointed the chef. The result is now one can get many menu options but taste of typical malvani dishes is compromised.
My recommendation to fellow travelers is it's a nice homestay option but keep realistic expectations & make sure you pay realistic price, you won't be disappointed.

Firstly I will not recommend anybody to stay here mainly bcoz room rent is as high as 3star hotels and services are like road side tea stall rather less than even that. No intercom to order anything, no LED TV, no Wi-Fi, no complementary breakfast and addition to this careless owner and workers. They charged Rs.2500 for AC room with zero other amenities, food quality is not up to the expectation okok kind but rates are not ok kind. I had to stay for 2 nights bcoz of my wife's insist to stay at beach side. Dear friends there are other hundreds of hotels just 1-2 min walk to beach at very affordable rates. I agree the location is very much good but the devbag beach is so safe to roam any time anywhere so why to spend too much to stay at beach side and to whome who even do no care about their costumers!!

You have to visit this place to believe it exists.
The location is awesome, it is situated at the famous devbaug beach and you just need to get out of room and take few steps and you are on the beach.
You can simply sit and enjoy the sea-beach, get some sun-tan/sun bath or get a dip in the sea.
Awesome food, awesome hospitality and great service. For the price, it is a perfect steal-away.
Total value for money. They have nice shade- place where you sit and enjoy drinks and awesome malvani food.
If you have a car, you will enjoy the road trip to hotel too, the road is small but nice maintained.
DO visit the Siddheshwar Temple too, as it is an old one and pleasant.
MY RATINGS ARE PURELY CONSIDERING THE MONEY, WE SPENT!!

Management is irresponsible and arrogant. Just advantage of this place is to being at beach touch.Zero hospitality. Washrooms are like public toilets, you have to do several requests for cleaning or do it on ur own.Devbag village is a great beach in malvan and having nice budget hotels but not this. We stayed 1day 1night and moved to another place, saved money and experienced warm hospitality.

The location of God's Garden is its USP. The rooms are almost right on the beach. This allows you access to the beach even at night hours. Rooms are decent enough. Available in AC and non-AC, with and without TV. Typical rooms can accommodate 2-3 people.
They also provide food (charged separate) and drinks are also allowed. On our request, they even had setup our dinner table on the beach. Also helped us setup a bonfire on the beach. They also coordinate scuba activity at the Sindhudurg fort, if interested. Overall a beautiful experience.
Rooms charges are also affordable. I travelled for the New Year's Eve 2016 and had rates of INR 1,500. Off-season rates might be 800-1000. The place is located on Google maps, so no trouble reaching here. It's about 8km from Malvan. For room bookings, reach out on 9764780298, 9420976692, 9112036636.

+1
The place is about an hour way from Kudal railway station and upon reaching the property you are welcome by the view of the beach. The rooms are decent and the bathrooms are too. The staff there was very helpful and catered to all our needs. Mahesh who also is the owner of the property was on his toes to provide us with everything we needed. The food they serve is typical of the area and delicious.
The property is undergoing renovation and the owner is planning to install CCTVs and Wifi in the very near future.
