We booked this based on its location and were not disappointed. It is right on the beach with back door opening on the beach. We were a large group and booked all the glass cottages which are right in the front of the pool. The cottages though quite small we did enjoyed the different experience. The service was good but very slow. House keeping surely needs some improvement. Food was average but few items did taste good. The person serving us was real nice. Pool was clean but did not use it for Covid reasons. For Scuba diving and other activity they do call the concerned agency and you can than deal with them. Best part is that for Scuba diving a boat comes right in front of the hotel and you just get on the beach and board it. Overall we were satisfied.
Every time the room was cleaned it had given out a very bad smell. The pool also was full of garbage and dust, and the food service was really slow. And the mattresses were very old and dusty. I don't recommend to stay. If you want to have a good trip then I recommend you to stay in any other hotel. Not good at all. Please read this review carefully before you register the money.
I did not enjoy it. It was not a good experience, when I visited the pool was not clean. The hotel near the swimming pool was nice, but the service was very slow. When the bathroom was cleaned there was a very bad smell. The mattress was really dusty. Not a good place to swim. There were no house slippers. Please a humble request to fix these problems. Bye
I would say, it is a pretty average stay considering the price that we had paid for the Delux and premium sea facing rooms. Consider following points if you want to stay here.. Positives - 1. Great location, sea view from premium sea view rooms is uninterrupted without any obstacle in between. Some of the Delux rooms also get a partial sea view. 2. The staff is friendly in nature and help you with best of their abilities. 3. Ample parking space, like 10 12 cars can be parked easily. 4. Access to the beach is like 2 3 mins walk from your room. The beach in front of this hotel/resort is not at all crowded and one can enjoy the sea bath without any worries. 5. Check in time is 12pm but if the rooms are available they will provide you in advance. 6. Tables can be arranged at the swimming pool to have dinner in front of the sea. Negatives - 1. Quality of the rooms is not up to the mark (as seen in the photos uploaded by me) considering the price that is paid. During peak season the price range gets increased by 1K 1.5K easily but quality remains the same. 2. The wi-fi service is good for the rooms where router is nearby, in our room we didn't have the wi fi working at all. We didn't ask for one because we didn't need the internet but if you need wi fi then you need to ask them to fix it. 3. The cellular network services are bad, airtel - no network or one bar in some sections, same for the vodafone, jio had better connectivity considerably, maybe 2 bars at some locations with little bit of 4G connectivity. 4. Restaurant service is very poor. During our stay it was like we had to order way way way before our dinner time. For example, if you want to have even a Surmai/King Fish thali you need to order it well in advance. It wasn't like you come to table, order, wait for 15-20 mins and order will be served. Also, not all items listed in menu are available. We saw a couple arguing with restaurant staff, they forgot to order "in time" as they were tired and slept, when they came for dinner, they ordered for "chicken lollipop" and the staff straight away denied the order. That was a bit rude and uncalled for. 5. Not sure when they did pest control last time around, we had lizard in our bathroom, in both rooms, in one of the rooms we had cockroaches roaming freely. 6. The entire staff runs on a set timer it seems, like we asked for a tea at 4pm, they said it will be available only after 530pm. We finished our dinner and we were sitting, the restaurant staff came and asked us to move to another table as they wanted to clean the table and leave early as there were no customers. I have traveled across India and have never seen any resort/hotel restaurant doing that. 7. This hotel/resort has no elevators so it is difficult for elderly people or people with knee problems to climb the upper floors. 8. NOT A SINGLE PERSON was wearing a mask, as if there was no corona, we traveled in Jan, 2021 and still there was a mandate to wear mask in resorts/hotels from govt. of Maharashtra. The entire staff wore mask and hair cover when "Grampanchayat" people came for survey. But the next day it was the same story. We were wearing masks for our own safety. But still that poses a risk. 9. No recreational facilities available for kids. 10. Monkeys can be a trouble so do not keep windows open when you are not in the room. As you can see in the photos uploaded by me, Monkeys can easily climb to the balconies. 11. Food quality/taste at restaurant is not authentic Malvani one. It is kind of one that you can get in Mumbai as well. So, if you wish for a true authentic Malvani food then you need to go out and search elsewhere. They will give you a Surmai Rawa Fry but the Malvani food taste is simply not there. 12. In our room the AC could not take the load and tripped the electricity multiple times. So, we decided to switch of the AC altogether. Because we did not require the AC. Overall, we were happy with the beach access and location and the view but the overall service, quality of the stay is not up to the mark at all.…
About a year ago I have visited Tarkarli, Maharashtra, India I have stayed here for 2N 3D. The resort was so elegant. We booked the room which was situated to the ground floor. When you just open the balcony door you are welcomed by the breeze that flows over the beach and a beautiful pool in front of your room. The food here was great too. I completely loved the location of this resort and the way they presented. It also has access to private beach. Avisa Nila Beach Resort is a great option to go to when you in Tarkarli
