I visit sabarimalai every year. I am from andhra. Relax inn hotel is a nice place to stay when you are in chengannur. very much walkable from railway station, the hotel is well maintained. Right from the management to staff all are so friendly and we feel a homely atmosphere in this hotel. I used to stay since its opening, and there is no difference either in the maintanance of the hotel or in staff till now. you can recommend too to your friends. swamiye saranam ayyappa.- ravindra srinivas, advocate, rajahmundry

Stayed there for two days and was taken care of by the owner. The food we ordered took sometime but was great waiting. the room was clean and had to pay the money in full advance. I did ask the owner why should i pay the full amount he told me he got some bitter experience from people who cheat him by paying only an advance.overall good place to be in chengannur within the railway.

Well maintained room, good customer service and very well recommended to family and sabrimala people. Very close to Railway station and Bus Stand. People are very kind and helpful. One of the best rated hotel in chengannur with good atmosphere

A very good place to stay in Chengannur. Close proximity to the Railway station , KSRTC bus stand Chengannur Mahadeva temple, Vandimala Temple, market etc.
Good clean rooms, good and quick service. Only disadvantage is it doesnt have a restaurant, but the room boys can bring it for you.

I had to stay at Chengannur for few days, so I was looking for a decent place to sleep and eat. I found this new Hotel, right next to the railway station. This is a new hotel, recently opened. They have very clean rooms, both A/C and non A/C. They also have a very nice A/C restaurant on the first floor. The place was very clean and very friendly staff. They also had a internet cafe, so you don’t have to go anywhere to browse the internet. They place was very convenient to shopping, bus station and railway station. I would definitely stay here again.

we were 2 families with kids on 10 days tour of kerala .on our last leg of our tour we have booked this hotel in chengannur .As the payment time came ,,owner started asking complete payment on time of arrival.when we just asked why there is need to pay complete amount now as some advance can be paid..the owner who is old frustrated man got angry and started abusing us..then we were forced to leave the hotel with kids ..please avoid this hotel

I happened to chance upon this place while on a official duty with a friend in chengannur. The closest family type hotel available in chengannur is relax inn. Its pretty close to the railway station as well as the bus stand. Single rooms though are very small in size but built well. Prices are on the higher side i think. The place has a good restaurant too even though its pricey for chengannur standards, but suited for families. Better dining options are available for singles nearby......

I been to this hotel few times,quality of the hotel is average.for a single room u have to pay 590,they don't keep even a cup of water in the room & no daily cleanliness! but I had a problem during my last visit.basically I am from Kerala,But settled in Bangalore!!they consider outsiders very cheaply,my trip was for 5 days,when i booked room ,they did not ask me about check out date' twice i paid them the advance as well.2nd day evening I got a call from the Hotel & they asked to vacate the Room immediately.i asked them why?those people started to shout at me started to use vulgar words.they Said me to vacate the room bcoz already someone have booked the Room,if you are not vacating,we will throw Your Baggage & stuffs outside the Room.they would have spoken to a customer in a polite way to vacate.I was 50 klm away from Hotel,rushed to the Hotel but the situation was same,person who harassed me was Owner & receptionist after that I vacated my Room.I have been to many states like Tamilnadu,Andhrapradesh & almost all north places..but no where I faced this type of situation..Hats of to all these states!!I am sad to say this,this incident happened in my Own native..this is my personal experience.viewers can go through it & take the decision before planning to stay.near by this there is a Raj international hotel is cheaper & excellent!!

I am from California US. We were 4 - me, wife her sister and husband. Earlier my cousin booked a 2 B.Room apartment of this Relax Inn for us. (which is near Old Suriyani Church) Paid Rs. 3500/-for 1 day and not worth, No Fridge or Microwave TV remote was not working. Only one room was B/attached, checked in on 1/1/19, we were already prepared to checkout as scheduled 8.00am. Morning we went to Indian coffee House for breakfast and came back by 7.45. The OWNER of the hotel was waiting for us there in front of room and started really screaming, saying that we gave incorrect phone #. I have asked him to get the tel No from the hotel Reg. and try again in front of me, and that was correct #. When my cousin asked him why you are pressuring/disturbing the occupants to vacate the room before the scheduled time, he used Malayalam bad words on us. I was going to complaint this to Chengannur Police station, because of my tight travelling plans I couldn't do that. I WILL NOT RECOMEND THIS PLACE FOR ANYONE TO STAY.
