What can I say about this place other than it is one of the loveliest, friendliest, cleanest and well run places I have ever stayed in. The room was beautiful, the food was delicious and the service second to none. Set in the countryside with lots of lovely walks around yet only 25 minutes from the centre of Belfast. Will...

We came here for lunch at around 1pm, and as a fairly regular customer I was delighted to see there was a new special available! Trio of Sliders - Beef, Lamb and Pork with sauces. Having tried a lot of the menu (all of which is outstanding), I decided to try this special. It came out presented on a lovely...

Set in the middle of beautiful countryside ideal for short walks (around the farm) or longer excursions. Superlatives aren't enough here. warm welcome, we were shown into the library sitting room with tea and choice of home bakes. Beautiful bedroom and bathroom, impeccable. Breakfast, perfect. What stands out in this outstanding B&B is Patricia's baking - the bread at breakfast...

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights when we visited Northern Ireland. It was the first place we stayed. We had driven up from Dublin. We each had gotten about an hour of sleep on the overnight flight. I had previously asked about an earlier check-in, and despite them not having much time to turn the room over...

This is my 3rd stay here. The proprietors and staff do an excellent job keeping everything up nicely-the farm and gardens, house and tearoom, farm shop and guestrooms, and still are able to offer delicious organic homemade generous breakfasts for b and b guests. The room was quiet, clean, and quite comfortable and well-appointed. A charming unique place!

Hadn't been here in a while but always enjoyed having coffee/ lunch as the food offerings have always been so fresh and tasty. Lately had the dilemma of where to bring a friend to lunch and so decided to return to Bally Lagan. It didn't disappoint. Staff amazingly friendly and efficient. The menu has grown! I just love the place....

Stayed for one night, but wish that we could have stayed longer. We stayed at 11 different B&B's during our trip to Ireland, and overall this one is in the Top Two. Patricia and Tom are incredible hosts. As soon as we arrived, Patricia offered us Tea & Cake - really nice touch! Patricia rang four difference restaurants to find...

We booked for a night at the Ballylagan Organic Farm having found it on line listed as a 'dog friendly' place. When booking we advised we would be bringing our dog. The farm has clearly had this separate building recently and well upgraded and our double room with excellent bathroom (shower, no bath) was very nice, but the owner, Patricia's...

Dear Sue S, thank you for your review. We are not aware of any affiliated websites where we are listed as dog friendly and have never promoted ourselves as such. Prior to your arrival I sent an email advising that dogs were not allowed in the rooms. You acknowledged this, yet took the dog into your bedroom. You had said...

The rooms are spacious and the bathrooms were up-to-date. The food was excellent. Great little tea area. With the beautiful weather the farm walk was a wonderful experience. This provided for a very interesting B and B experience. It is out of the way yet the location may it easy to get to most places.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
A very warm welcome to the Guesthouse at Ballylagan Farm. The house in which you will be staying was originally built as a single storey farmhouse in the early years of the 19th century. In the later 1800s as the farm prospered the house was extended both horizontally and vertically and was finally completely restored and refurbished in 2011. We are pleased to have retained all the character of this charming building, while at the same time offering a degree of comfort and serenity which we believe is second to none. We look forward to seeing you. ... more   less
