Couldn't recommend this highly enough. Staff are excellent and resort fit for anyone looking to stay away from the 5 star resorts we are used too but looking for a typical Thai experience. Loved it. Go and support the local family resort it's amazing. Close to the beach too.

Booked a Raya father tour off the lady at our hotel!!!! Do not waste your time on this tour!! It was awful! I can honestly say this has completely turned me off tours for good!! Felt like I was just been carted around from place to place just trying to make money!! Snorkelling was goood but was very short!! Could...

We went to Racha island for just one night and travelled with the hotels own company. The trip out to the island was not the best we've had, Mostly because of the rude staff. One women named Beyoncé was very loud and unpleasant. She seemed to be very irritated and this affected us as guests. Once we came to the...

We stayed at The Racha but loved going over here at Father Raya and eating and drinking. The food was awesome for lunch and we loved having our Sang Som Rum and Coke lights. We watched the people come and go and really enjoyed the location and the staff we encountered were always nice, maybe not so quick but who...

We went on the tour. It was crowded, confusing and nothing like the brochure. We pated for the 2 islands with 2 snorkel opportunities. We got 45 minutes at one island. They said it was because of the season. I highly doubt this, just lies. At every opportunity they tried to force us to buy something, fins, chairs, drinks, our...

We took the Raya Father Tour to the Racha Yai island with snorkeling and a night in the Raya Father Resort. We bought the trip from a street tour agent in Kata for 2200BHT per person. The location of the resort is great with about a 10 minute walk to Patok Bay, Ter Bay, Lah Bay and even less to...

We stayed here for one night on Raya Island. The accommodation was old run down, dirty and staff quite unhelpful as their English was not good. Would not return to this resort as we were given it as a package deal with Raya father tours. The tour itself was worth the $$ but in future I would recommend booking your...

We stayed in the father resort bungalow. The rooms had all useful facilities , comfortable clean beds, AC which saved us from the heat. Being low season everything is very quite. This is beneficial as the beaches we can almost have all to ourselves. The staff are lovely, seemingly shy but helpful. Food is very authentic fast service. This destination...

Raya Father sits in the middle between Patok Beach and Konkare Bay, ie the farthest from sea on Racha Yai. Still, you can walk in less than 15 minutes to the sea so the location is ok. It offers a restaurant and a range of smaller and bigger rooms, aimed at the low-to-middle budget travellers. No pool, some rooms with...
