This was a beautiful setting for a hotel in the French countryside. The room was nice. The bathroom was very clean. One disappointment was that the restaurant was closed for the evening on our arrival at about 4.00 pm. Not sure if this was because it was Sunday but as we had cycled from chinon, we did not fancy cycling...

On arrival we were told the restaurant was fully booked for the two. Nights we were staying. The nearest restaurant ( excluding creperies and pizza parlours) was 5 km away. Which is what you don't want to hear after a four hour drive. Part of the "stay away" experience in our opinion is to be looked after while you are...

We stayed here for two nights . Good points were the ambience of the building, It was very quiet and looked typically French. The staff were excellent and even lent us their own iron so that my daughter could iron her dress. We had a lovely breakfast sat outside which was good. Only downside was that the room was a...

The hotel met our expectations for a quiet and relaxing stay among local surroundings. Rooms and facilities have a pleasant, comfortable ambience and are being renovated over time. Reception and restaurant staff were very pleasant and friendly. This is a place where one could comfortably stay for a longer period. Tourist venues are easily accessible by car or bicycle.

This is an impressive chateau in the national forest. It has lovely grounds and the main floor is very elegant. We stayed in the gate house which was very clean and spacious. It had two comfortable chairs to sit in, a rarity in hotels. Not everyone wants to sit at a desk all evening or lie on the bed to...

Our sat.nav wasn't being helpful but the large signage was good enough to spot. The online pictures do it justice, impressive building. The reception was cordial and efficient, even if the wrong key was collected as was discovered on approaching our room, not a problem for us though. The halls decor is a tad shabby sheik with a slight air...

We arrived after a long day of cycling only to find their restaurant closed for the evening and even more upset to find the only other local restaurant also closed but the manager came to our rescue gallantly and drove us into Chinon(6kms.away) to a restaurant and then came and picked us up when we were done. That is exemplary...

Stayed here last year and as we were touring the Loire area again with friends decided to book rooms again. We were not disappointed. Rooms very pleasant with plenty of space . Good comfortable beds. The breakfasts were excellent both in quality and quantity. We ate evening meals in the hotel for some of our stay and were very satisfied....

We found this hotel on the internet and to say it immediately, we enjoyed it so much that we booked to stay another night on our way home from the Bergerac area. The hotel is away from the main roads in a rather quiet setting and everyone from the owner to all the other staff were friendly and most helpful....

Lovely people, great food, nice room, great breakfast, What more can you ask for!! We arrived early afternoon and ordered 2 glasses of local wine, sat under the big tree and relaxed. Evening meal was delightful and the service superb, the young lady who served us helped with translation. Already booked for May 2016.
