It looks lovely from the photos but the rooms were pretty average. The bathroom needed a refurb, was tiny, and stunk of sewage all the time. The buffet was quite good. Some of the staff were lovely and friendly but some were pretty grumpy. Glad we only stayed there 2 nights as a stopover in Kandy but would've preferred 1...

A one night stay at this stylish hotel, with incredible views over Kandy. The staff are attentive, helpful and very well dressed. The food does not quite match up to expectation however, on arrival we had a rather tasteless club sandwich with an expensive gin & tonic. The breakfast included everything you could think of from a Continental, full English...

A place with full of history and classy. According to what we heard the hotel has built to resemble an antient Sinhalese palace. Thus they don't have a lift and guests and room boys have to carry their baggage on steps. This is an echo friendly hotel and you might encounter non harmful insects in your room. Food was alright...

Good hotel although it could do with a face lift (a bit dated). Food varied and generally of a good standard. It would appear that the hotel is generally used for short stay guests which is just as well because when we where there, you couldn't get a sun bed for love nor money.

Stayed for 2 nights as part of a tour. Being on a steep hill the hotel offers great views of Kandy and the surrounding hills. We had a suite room with a mezzanine housing the bedroom and bathroom. The ground floor was a lounge with terrace that had great views. Hotel had a nice bar area and a large restaurant...

The hotel is situated on top of a hill. The view is breathtaking. The service was super. The food & ambiance unbelievable. The road to the top of the hill is winding & narrow. Am glad our buddist driver doesn''t drink. Wifi was great. Could stay here for ever. Did not have any negative experience at all.

The hotel has a great ambience, the views are breathtaking, and the food quite good. However we were given a room on the ground floor with no view at all. The toilet was smelling like a sewer, we could not open the balcony door for fear of monkeys, and dogs and there was a smell of wet dogs all over....

Recently stayed at this hotel for a few days. I was excited to try to spa. Worst spa experience every! Unfortunately, the spa is located directly under the bar and adjacent to the pool. It was extremely noisy. Also, the woman performing the massage did half the massage on the table and then made me get off the table to...

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights as part of a tour of Sri Lanka. Our coach couldn't get up the twisty turny windie road so smaller mini coaches from the hotel took us up this hill. It went on forever or so it seemed. When you do get to the hotel the view is magnificent. It was a tea...
