I loved and enjoyed alot at camp o royale. First, i would say very scary to reach there. However, once you reach at top. You definetely enjoy weather and night parties. staff , food was awesome. Activities are for name though. But with family we enjoyed. Weather is like night super cool and days are with sunlight. I wouldn't suggest old people and small kids less thjan age5 to go at too top.

I wish could give ratings in negative..worst experience ever. No electricity, no water, very unhygienic..we literally had to ask them thousands times for drinking bottle water. All switch boards were out of there socket. Uncleaned bed sheets and blankets. We asked them to clean the rooms and bathrooms when we reached. Even in room dustbins a diaper was lying.. it was such a yuck experience. Only and only view is good thats it nothing else you could find worthy at this place.. so i wont recommend this place to anyone further.

The vibe there
A must visit place. The stay in tents gives you a different feeling and the best part is the activities section.

I went to Camp O Royale with my family for a long weekend. The location of the camp is good with the tents overlooking the mountains but the positive stops there. The tents and wash rooms are filthy and after frequent requests were not cleaned. The area around the tents have overgrown bushes and grass and as a result all sorts of insects and spiders get into the tents. My kids refused to sleep in their tent . The food is very basic and is never served on time .Ankit their kitchen manager refused to serve us snacks and seems does not understand what hospitality means . The water got over on the 2nd day and I had to wait for almost 45 mins to get water. The focus for the camp staff is only on campers who would like to party and drink and not on families. Guests shout and sing till after 12 in the night and it is impossible to get some peace and quite in the camp . Over all a total let down

I am just back from a 4 day trip to this place in Dhanaulti. Camp O Royale is an adventure camp which offers Swiss and Luxury tents. The tents have full bedding and tiled washrooms. The food is much better than what I expected in a camp. The three course meal is included in the package. There is a bon-fire every night and a small DJ set up. On the nights we were there, there was a group of friends who were playing a guitar and singing. The camp boasts of some very good adventure activities - Flying Fox, Burma Bridge etc. But the best of all is rock climbing and rappelling. Though you have to walk 1-2 km for getting to the place where rock climbing is done, but it is worth it. All-in-all it was a fantastic experience and is highly recommended.

I visited Camp O Royale, Dhanaulti in the first week of October, 2015. The camp is actually located deep in the forest around 1.5 KMs away from the main road and is connected by a treacherous semi pukka road. Once we reached there, we were offered welcome drinks which was very refreshing. What proved to be better than the drinks was the beautiful view from the camp. It made the small hike to the camp from the base of the road totally worth it. We stayed there for around 5 days during which the camp staff made every possible effort to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as it could be. The quality of food is really good. I've stayed in many 4-5 star resorts and comfort of stay and quality of food is something which is non-negotiable for me and Camp O Royale made everything so delicious. Apart from the regular food, many times while having a conversation on the swing, they served hot green tea and soup whenever is asked for it. Now, coming to the tents, they keep those very neat and tidy. The bedding is quite cozy. Toilets are very hygienic and clean. Their obstacle course looks very easy but in fact very difficult for a person who does not workout regularly. Evening bonfire with drinks was a delight especially when Mr. Akash (Camp owner) accompanied us. I guess i made a friend for life. He made us feel more like family than guests. Mr. Pramod, Ankit, Uday, Rana, Sheeshpal etc. were some of the staff members who left no stone unturned in being super hospitable to us and made this trip a memory of a lifetime. If you are a regular traveler and used to resorts and hotels, take my advice and try camping for a change and be ready for the challenges that camping involves. And if you are too finicky for everything, even then this could be a game changer for you. On a scale from 1-10, I'd give it a big and shining 9. Keep it up guys. Cheers. P.S. Keep a Idea, Vodafone, Airtel or BSNL sim with you. Aircel, Reliance etc. do no work there.

I visited with my wife and the booking was done hours before we dropped in. It was a terrific view from the camp at Lambhar and was really an awesome experience. Extremely courteous staff and everyone including Promod (the camp manager), Monu and Ankit were helpful. Food was delicious and served on time. They served us with welcome drink on arrival followed by breakfast, lunch and dinner. Very rare to find such a good food in camps, Every camp is well maintained with 24X7 running water and tidy washrooms. (I was little bit finicky about the washroom before we visited). The package rate is very reasonable. They provided with lot of adventure activities like Barma bridge, Mowgli walk etc. However, I could not take them as I was having a bad back sprain, but to be mentioned, they even arranged for a pain killer tablet immediately. The bonfire at evening was great but we would suggest some changes like increasing the bonfire size and accompanying the evening snacks with tea. However, we were overwhelmed with the other arrangements. Few remarkable things would include neat and tidy surroundings and well equipped staff members. It started raining cats and dogs along with thunderstorm during the night, and to our surprise, we could hardly feel it inside the camp. Akash, the owner, is gem of a person and he never missed a single chance to provide his customized touch to almost every guests, which is hardly present in renowned 3-4 star properties. He also helped us with booking of cab from Dhanaulti to Dehradun with a very short notice. Kudos to Akash and his team for the good work. We wish team Camp O Royale all the very best for impressing more guests like us. I would certainly recommend this camp over others to have a memorable experience.
