We have been in this hotel during Dec 2023 for 72hours long, I need to tell everyone and make them aware that room no 406 is haunted with ghost. We had real ghost sightings inside the room hiding behind the curtains. The ghost would turn the lights on & off, even the tap use to get moved from hot to cold by itself. Very uneasy to sleep as there would be sounds or feeling that someone is inside the room, the ghost even followed us till swimming pool where my wife sighted the ghost 4-5 times sitting on the chair, it was really scarry. The ghost even tried posses me as my wife said I was acting weird and at night I went out of hotel talking to myself and even I sat on a bike and drove and met an accident, I don't remember how I reached the accident spot but luckily I was not harmed and I came back to room by myself. Even my body was acting weird where I could feel someone was holding me and pricking me. Even sitting in the gallery after evening gave chills as the sounds would come from inside the room. Please don't take room 406.

This place is inhabitable for humans. We trusted the ratings and reviews and booked this “resort” as it was nearby the Airport, and it was a big mistake. I have no idea how this place has good ratings, it is absolutely pathetic. The exterior itself is so dingy you won’t even feel like checking the rooms, but we checked anyway. First we checked the rooms we booked, but they were stinking. The walls were damp, the linen and bedding was not dry either. We did not want to stay in those rooms so we asked for other rooms, even higher category ones but they were even worse. Their restaurant was not functional and there were hardly 2-3 staff members on the whole property. It was so bad that we decided to stay the whole night at the airport itself instead of this “resort”. Not the airport lounge, the public chairs at the Airport. Stay at any 1 star hotel, but don’t go near this one.

I had booked this hotel from 31 Aug 2021 to 04th Sep 2021. Management Miss Behaved with us. No Service, Room paint is coming out, doors and windows are rotten, AC water was dripping inside the room, pool filled with dirt, electric wires open in the bathroom no one would turn up also if one dies with an electric shock, my guest checked out after one horrible night. now hotel is not ready to refund the amount for other number of nights. dont go by the good reviews those are all paid reviews and photos of property are edited. never ever book this property. not worth for free also its a slum in Goa

A very warm welcome by the staff. urban simplistic rooms, a very clear swimming pool and the perfect place for friends to hang out and chill out Great food and do try the fish in the in room dining menu, really tasty. The concierge helps you with all local activities and prices are very reasonable. Definitely stay here for a couple of days to enjoy the south Goa experience. 5 mins from the airport and 5 mins from the beach.

The stay at Devasthali was wonderful. The food was super and the staff was very helpful. They made excellent recommendations. It was a very relaxing time that we had there. I'm definitely coming back to Goa just for another stay at the hotel.

We went to Goa some time back and we stayed at the Western Devasthali Resort which we booked through Antilog Vacations and we get a good deal. It seemed like a good hotel from the outset. It is not very big and has a small pool located in the central area. We had booked an executive suite but the receptionist spent a lot of time with all the applications and all. Consequently we started on the wrong foot with the hostel authorities. The room was decent though – spacious around 500 square feet in area. The view from the room was also nice. There was an adjoining balcony as well but the most peculiar thing was despite a large balcony being present, it was not equipped with chairs. The room too had sofas and no transferable chairs. Hence we could not spend time sitting in the balcony and this is something which we missed, considering we really liked the view. There is no gym in the hotel. Although a spa is present but if we take our suggestion we would not recommend that as it is really not worth trying. There are not many choices with the massage therapies and they seriously need some more therapists as we were made to wait for a long time. The food is not very special and can best classified as a 2 star hotel’s food. We expected more choices in the breakfast buffet but it was very limited and even the simple coffee was not very good. We found some more restaurants in the vicinity and these can be tried out for better options. The staffs though are very friendly and helpful and the housekeeping also chipped in with their aid. Thus the Western Devasthali is a hotel which is not very reasonable given the tariff but something worth checking if you are in Goa for a few days and don’t have too much time to spend inside the hotel.

Good times are well in the past for that hotel. I am not a snob and I do understand that one should not expect alot for the price like that, but come on... If you decide to stay here, you should know that: 1. They do not offer a laundry service. Buy a soap and help yourself. 2. They do not accept cards, only cash. At least on December 2019. 3. Beautiful hollant beach is actually is not that beautiful. Don't be fooled by those photos, they have nothing to do with a reality. This place sucks.

Dear Viewer, We have terminated our management agreement with the OYO chain and have put back the control of the resort in the hands of our own team which has served you through the last decade. We assure you of our best efforts in making your stay memorable and up to your expectations as always. We sincerely hope that we will once again get a chance to host you at our resort and the brief period of the OYO fiasco will be forgotten.

This hotel is now run by a chain , Connections, who do not appear to care for their property or their customers. The buildings were in need of refurbishment on our previous stays and are now frankly decreipt both inside of the rooms and out, even the water in the pool was cloudy and green. The kettle in our room over heated. It no longer attempts to be a 4 star property but does not even extend basic customer care. Our booking had been made with the previous management and not passed on to the current team. This was not their fault, however, keeping an elderly couple, who had arrived from a long flight, sitting at reception from 3.30 a.m. to 5 a.m was. Even after I had asked to be treated as a walk in and we would sort payment later they preferred to persue previous management by telephone to confirm the booking. As my husband is in a wheel chair and there were no taxis available, it was plain we could not abscond without payment! We even had to ask repeatedly for a glass of water. The free breakfast is insulting rather than complimentary and no other food is available until late morning. The restaurant is independent of the hotel and serves acceptable beach shack type food. The only positive to the current set up is they have sorted the wifi and it now works. The target market appears to be cheap group stays, each room has an additional bare mattress on the floor for extra persons and there was a party of young men having a gathering on the balconies even at the time we arrived. The name needs to be changed from Devasthali to Devastation to reflect the difference between what this place was and what it is now.
