I travelled with my family and since we arrived everything was great. Good service and attention from the staff. Everyone was really nice and they help us with the different activities that we did. The Manager of the Hotel is very friendly and helpful; he can organize a great variety of things to do at San Gil or in the...

This hotel was a step above a Hostel - very basic. The interior courtyard was its best selling point and the reception people were accommodating. Room was small but clean. We did not try the shower; it looked very intimidating - we washed at the sink. Unfortunately, we were unable to do the rafting that we came to do here...

We stayed at HHotel Victoria for a total of 4 nights. It's a budget hotel that's well mantained and decorated, a few blocks away from the main square, from several restaurants but also from Parque el Gallineral and from transport connections. The room was cleanbut hot showers costed extra. The staff was very friendly and talkative. Breakfast wasn't included as...

We spent 3 nights at the Riviera plaza. It is not as central as others hostels we saw near the main place but it is not far either. It is located close to the place where you take a “buseta” for San Gil or Barichara. We payed 50000 COP for a clean and comfortable double room with fan, cable tv...

San Gil is a relatively small town whose main attraction is its proximity to Chicamocha National Park in Colombia. The Park, itself, is well worth seeing. San Gil is also close to a small, quaint village of Barichara which was founded in 1705 and nice to see. The Victoria Hotel is, as has been said, in the middle of town....

This hotel is located right in the middle of town, just a few blocks away from the main plaza. We could walk everywhere, no problem. The best part of the hotel was the incredibly helpful staff. They helped us plan all of our outings and even drew a map for us for one of our hikes.

Although this hotel doesn't have a website and all that other fancy-shmansy jazz, this place is legit. Keep in mind, the entire city is mostly hostels and there aren't any Four Season Resorts around. The rooms are basic with beds and a small bathroom/private bath. There's a nice courtyard where you and your friends can hang out and a wireless...

MY girlfriend and I stayed at Hotel Victoria for 2 nights this past weekend. The hotel itself is truly enchanting with a beautiful garden and fountain in the middle and nice rooms along the sides. The staff were quite nice and always helpful and kind! They even let us park our moped inside since parking was hard to find. Overall,...

For anybody spending a few days in San Gil, I would really recommend a stay at this hotel. The rooms and bedrooms are like taking a trip back to a bygone era, and the hotel has a very unique feel it. The rooms surround an outdoor patio with a small waterfall and everything is very peaceful. There is air conditioning...
