The gardens are very well kept and Tyrone the head gardener has been there 25 years and will happily answer any questions you may have on the gardens. The grass should be fine in June although this year it was a little late due to a longer dry season. There is very little seaweed around although Tobago has Had sargassum but it cleared immediately. Most people like to visit Pigeon point and there you will find a beautiful beach. From there you can get a glass bottom boat to the Reef for snorkelling, nylon pool for standing in the middle of the sea waist height enjoying a paddle and rubbing sand over you to combat the aging process. My son’s girlfriend came with us in September for her first visit and she loved Englishmans Bay. Get around the island and you will see lots of beautiful beaches. We were there in September as a family of 5 +1 and all thought the food was good with plenty of choice.
My wife and I will head over in May/June and it is at that time in particular where you will see the Leatherback turtles nesting. If you have any other questions happy to answer.

Grass was green and gardens well tended. There was no seaweed when we were there in October 2017. There are great beaches and sea 15 minutes taxi ride away at Pigeon Point (TTD20 entry fee well worth it - free on 4th Sunday each month) with bench tables or reasonably priced loungers and umbrellas. Some snorkeling there too. A much smaller beach at Store Bay with lots of small food and souvenir outlets is also worth a visit and a similar taxi ride away. We were there out of season so the food was limited and repetitive but well cooked.
