Detailed Reviews
Spotlessly clean. It shows it opened up recently. Rooms are airconditioned and nice, although I wouldn't mind a little bit more of character. Perfect location in the centre of Peleliu's only village and great to explore the island's WWII sights, jungle and beaches. You can rent a bike or a canoe and go around.
Owners are very nice people, easy to communicate. They even picked me up free of charge at the airport on the arrival and took me to the port on departure.
Hint: take at least one special local dinner. It is delicious! Crab, fish, vegetables...
Wouldn't mind staying here again and run away from the hustle and bustle of a big city.

Le couple propriétaire est tout simplement charmant et se sont assurés que notre séjour se passe bien! Belle ambiance dans le petit resto attenant, dans un village bien tranquille mais qui a beaucoup à offrir en termes historiques! Merci pour tout!

The Inn is immaculately clean, comfortable and has good air con - and great value given this price. My only issue was food. As a vegetarian Peleliu has few options if you want hot food. The opening hours of the cafe next to the Inn were hit and miss when I was there. I'd guessed as much and bought some pot noodles and some food from Palau, which was fine for a couple of days. There are three or four little shops on the island where you can buy mild, cereal, beer etc. Only 500 people live on Peleliu so need to adjust your expectations accordingly, The car I hired with the the room package allowed me to explore the island easily. I had read several books about the Pacific War, especially E.B Sledge 'With the Old Breed' so didn't need the guided tour Des, the owner offers. As it happens I was the only guest for the two nights I stayed and a guided tour could only have been done on a one-to-one basis - which would have been pricey. That said, I spoke to Des Matsutaro and rather wish I could have seen the island with him. He's massively well informed, articulate and good company. If you are interested in the Pacific War I can certainly recommend Peleliu. It encapsulates much of what happened during America's efforts to push Japan back to its homeland. The island itself has many beautiful places, tons of WW2 history - inevitably much of this is poignant and leaves you thoughtful after all that happened here. I have previously visited Guadalcanal and the Western Solomons. I think the history is better told on Peleliu and it's more manageable in terms of scale and getting around. The island itself feels still feel ordered and tidy - certainly in comparison to Guadalcanal - which Des put down to the small population influence of the Germans and Japanese who both occupied for long stretches. The ferry journey from Palau runs a few times a week and the two and half journey was interesting, slowly chugging past the Rock Islands. Highlights on Peleliu included a jungle trek up to Bloody Nose Ridge, the local museum and just sitting on Orange Beach, a sad but beautiful place. There's a fair bit of WW2 hardware and relics at various points around the island - including tanks and a Zero fighter.

Stayed at their hostel across the street for a few nights and everything went really smooth. Really good service and all the needed services are available right here; car and bike rental, gas station, cafe, mini mart and guides and trips 7f needed. There's few shops within few hundred meters aswell.
The hostel itself was really basic but everything worker really good, no complaints. Own shower and toilet, kitchen included everything you'll need. Price 62 usd including taxes.
Car rental 50 usd day. Good for checking the island out. The best beach, Scarlett Beach, is pretty far away so car was good if you wanted to go for a swim.
Their cafe was basic and open until 9pm. The local dishes were 15usd each and the food was really, really good. Can recommend!
