This almost 100-year old stately lady has a LOT of charm! Boy did our jaw drop when we walked into the hotel! Photos cannot capture it. The hotel was renovated but they have kept the old world charm. Feels like you are in a 1920’s movie. Located right in the middle of the buzz of Old Phuket town. Lots of places to see within walking distance. We stayed for 2 nights and I can highly recommend this hotel. Note the hotel does not have a bar or restaurant, but there is plenty of that to be found within spitting distance. Bravo the Memory at On On! 💕
Great location, nice rooms with traditional decor, and professional staff. There are great restaurants nearby and coffee shops. I think the hotel will have a nicer vibe when their restaurant open for dining. There are nice places to seat and relax. We enjoyed our stay and hope to return in the near future.
I have always be fascinated by heritage buildings and since I moved to Asia especially by Sino Portuguese buildings. Being in Phuket and knowing there is a wide range of Sino Portuguese buildings we walked around and one of them being the Memory at On On Hotel. My friend and I went inside and at first it reminded me of the Cheong Fatt Tze - The Blue Mansion in Penang just smaller so I wanted to hear and see more of this pearl. Went to the counter and was greeted by Alan asked if he could tell me more about the building - Alan was very kind and forthcoming he told us the story about the hotel and showed us around and allowed us to peek into some of the rooms. Alan was very polite and friendly besides he spoke excellent English - thank you Alan for the talk and tour of the hotel, please tell Alan that we really appreciated he took the time to help us, we both will most definitely stay at The Memory at On On Hotel next time we are in Phuket Town.…
Set in the centre of the old town and just a short walk from the Sunday street market. The building and rooms have loads of charm and there are plenty of breezy open spaces where you can sit and relax. The hotel is well managed and the staff are friendly and helpful. Advertised as the first hotel in Phuket, you are guaranteed a unique experience. No breakfast provided but this may change when Covid restrictions are lifted. There are many Thai restaurants nearby as well as coffee shops (The Campus) and a bakery (Siam Bakery).
This hotel is in a great location in the Old Town and is visually stunning. It’s like a cross between a museum and a film set which means that people/tourists from outside or just wander in and take photos. I had a room on the ground floor which was small but functional but as it was in the inner courtyard, there is no balcony or anything like that to sit out on - you are essentially in a fairly dark room with closed shutters and the door shut. Also, The fountain outside made the tiles slippery so be careful when walking. There are currently no food/breakfast facilities at the hotel but plenty of restaurants nearby. You can get rooms for under £25 a night so well worth it for the one night experience. The Sunday walking street market is literally one block away and recommended for a stroll.…
The hotel is located in a beautiful old house in the Old Town of Pukhet. It is within walking distance form the Subday Street Market where you can find many options for eating and buying souvenirs. The rooms are OK and well kept but they don’t provide any restaurant services or breakfast.
I really liked it here. The room had everything I needed, it was clean and tidy. Only it was a little bit noisy during the day because it was opposite to the reception on the ground floor. On the positive side I was close to the reception and staff there was super helpful with really everything.
This is a great lil boutique hotel right in the middle of old town. The staff are super friendly and super responsive. It is a good deal too. , The place just gives you a good feeling, I would absolutely return.
We visited The Memory at On On for 2 nights during our visit to Phuket through the Sandbox. What amazing character this hotel has! Located right in old town Phuket, it is walking distance to great shops and restaurants. The hotel itself is boutique and beautiful. Highly recommend for a stay to check out Old Town Phuket!
We have visted this pace again this month. It is an old fashioned hotel with flair. We like the decoration and the individual rooms It is a trip back into the last century but with the comfort of today.
