I get hostels are communal and a bit of craic but lastnight was a pisstake by two self centred Australians who were too cheap to buy a private room to have sex so subjected the dorm to two hours of moaning and bed shaking. The room reeked of sex it was disgusting. Even when I got up numerous times and slammed the door and left the room that didn’t bother them one bit. When I came back in the smell made me want to vomit. The owner was lovely and the hostel itself is nice however the place is totally unsupervised at night time. Wouldn’t recommend staying here due to this. I sent a message to the owner during the middle of the night asking her to move me to another room as there was no one at reception or in the building and had no answer. After another half an hour of lying there having to smell stink sex and listen to loud moans, I rang the owner twice and said I needed to be moved. She woke up after two calls and told me what room I could move to. As I packed my bags the two still kept going oblivious to everyone else in the room. The owner didn’t acknowledge it in the morning just ignored it. I have stayed in so many hostels on my travels and have never been subjected to something so rotten, the smell was vile. Would not recommend.

Baan Baan is a place where you meet excellent ppl. Both Bo and Phi are kind human being. Healthy breakfast, comfy dorms and hygienic restrooms. Most important thing is you can make some excellent friends too. This is like homestay. Love you Bo and Phi

My friend and I booked this hostel after having a bad experience at one around the block. The rooms were clean and quiet. The showers and bathrooms were shared for the bunkrooms but were individual stalls. We we only there for one day during a layover but I had a great 6-hour nap and shower! Would definitely stay here again.

On my 2 month trip in Europe and Asia, this was the best hostel, very attentive and helpful staff, very clean and excellent place to make friends !! It is like a boutique hotel with a personalized service and excellent location in the town, a perfect place to relax too and the girl at the reception helped me plan my part of my trip in Thailand, always very friendly, thank you very much !!!

This was our first stop in the trip and was a very good one. Place was very clean. Breakfast was also served so we need not go elsewhere looking for it. Staff is also very friendly and helped us plan the day tour around.

I'm very happy that I chose to stay here. Very clean and modern hostel, with breakfast included and helpful friendly staff. The dorm bunk beds are surrounded by wall and curtain so you have complete privacy. Also the location is very central and close to the bus station.

This is a nice hostel, just not my favourite. It’s in the middle of old town so it’s easy to walk around and explore. There’s a basic breakfast included in the price and you can use the washing machine to do your laundry for 40baht which is nice. The bathrooms were pretty clean but with alot of people using them all the time it might be better to give them an extra clean during the day. They are located in the hallway so not very private to wash up and all with people walking up and down the stairs. The owners didn’t have alot of information about tours but I managed to book something through them anyways. Not necessarily a bad thing but this wasn’t a social hostel at all, everyone was very to themselves. I didn’t mind personally but if you’re looking to meet people I’m not sure this is the place. Also found old town nice for 1 night but not for longer like I did, there’s just not enough to do and taxis in Phuket are expensive. The blanket was a fleece plaid, really not a fan of those.

In fact we have provided brochure to show all information about Phuket, if it's not enough we will try to improve for more tours information. I stayed here for 5 nights and it was a perfect stay. I wanted to stay in Phuket Town and not in Patong and this is a great option, just minutes from bus station 1 with buses to Patong, the airport, and various other locations. It was also minutes from Old Phuket Town and its lovely shops and cafes. The staff were really friendly and helpful with booking tours and giving information. The beds and facilities were nice and clean, and although the window faces a main street it was generally quiet overnight. They had a washing machine with detergent which could be used (40B), and clothes lines on the top floor to dry. Will definitely stay again! :-)

I actually booked this place by mistake because I thought it was in Patong. But I preferred staying here as it was a nice respite from the chaos in the West. Lovely couple run this place, they always jump at the opportunity to be helpful. To say this hostel is clean is an understatement. It has to be the cleanest hostel I’ve ever stayed in and I must have stayed in over 50. If you need ANYTHING ask them for recommendations. They can in many cases get you a discount on top of the reassurance that you’re not going to be ripped off. Thanks for everything!
