    Yes, you don't need to book beforehand. I think they recommend at least half a days' notice, though. If you wanted to book a ranger (they don't call them guides) for the evening you arrive, you could possibly request one at... More

    You'll need to schedule your own guides. We used Sticky Rice. I wouldn't recommend going without guides. I'm not sure who has access to canopy walk but I believe it's everyone.

    Shouldn't be a problem as long as the Elephants don't come by. I would not be making the journey without a decent 4x4 though. locals do it in a small bus but wont be pleasant.
