We spent four days as a couple in what looked like the smallest and likely cheapest of amazing self-contained units with kitchen and bathroom. The owners are, at least in my book, the perfect hosts: unobtrusive yet always helpful, relaxed and incredibly friendly. When we arrived the toaster was broken so we asked for another for breakfast and our host...

lovely, friendly and helpful manager of the property. they may call the accommodation rustic and basic, but it was beautfully designed and had all you would need. just a few minutes walk off the main street, jungle around you, howler monkeys in the trees. beautiful setting, helpful manager, great value for money

Only 4 rental cottages on this former little farm. Our cottage was 2 rooms: a kitchen and a bedroom/bathroom. In the day you can open up all the windows and enjoy the outdoors. In the evening we just closed up and the mosquitos left us alone. We had complete privacy, except for the 2 peacocks that came to visit. You...

We were extremely surprised. Usually the reality is worse than the pictures, in this case was the other way. When we showed up there and saw the bungalows we were amazed how much better it looked than the pictures. The bungalow was extremely clean and well taken care of. The staff very friendly and the place extremely safe. The price...

My boyfriend and I booked a cabin at Finca chica online (I think it was booking.com or something like that) and got a great deal (75$ a night). We arrived and Emilio, the owner, was very friendly and the cabin was everything we needed. The only thing was the cabin was a little close to the main house, so we...

Stayed here a few nights and the owners were amazingly cordial. Everything about the stay was perfect. The room was clean. The bathroom and shower were clean. The kitchen and kitchen utensils were all clean. It was also nice staying somewhere with a full fridge. The only downside was that we couldn't rent bikes from them when we wanted to...

This is a fabulous place to experience Puerto Viejo! Emilo the host was fabulous - very gracious and welcoming. One of our family members had to return to the states for an Emergency and even helped arrange private transport back to San Jose so they could catch their flight. We could not have asked for a better house to for...

After a long and complicated journey down from Tortuguero, we needed a place in Puerto Viejo to stay overnight before heading to the Panama border. The owner was wonderful! Hearing of our crazy journey, he offered to do my friend's laundry at no charge (damp clothes from an almost sinking boat - long story). After seeing the beautiful property and...

Beautiful bungalow guest house in a quiet, safe and relaxing jungle environment. We only stayed one night, but the he accommodations were terrific and I would recommend to anyone. There is a small restaurant near by that had good food. If you are staying for a long time, rent a bike, it will be your best friend. Thank you Finca...
