As two Californians visiting Chetnole for the first week in September, we really enjoyed the meals and the drinks when visiting the Chetnole Inn. The owners were super friendly (with totally excellent children!) and the staff really helpful. Whether we came in for drinks only (at least nightly!), or for a meal (which we did three times), the service was...

My stay at Chetnole Inn was absolutely perfect. The rooms are well presented and spacious, as well as being immaculately clean. The restaurant is deservingly popular, with friendly knowledgeable staff. Despite there being limited vegetarian choices on the menu, I could easily amend what was on offer to suit and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was tasty and filling...

Have just spent two nights at the Chetnole Inn and would thoroughly recommend it. We had the "Hardy" room which was really spacious for a hotel room. Bed was comfortable and room was well furnished. Had dinner in the restaurant on our 1st evening and meal was delicious. Breakfast the next morning was even better. Pub was quiet during the...

A delightful Dorset pub, within walking distance of the mill where we were staying. The one room is dog friendly which was a bonus. The menu had a good range of food. Staff were very friendly. My sons praised the beef burgers and chips, and I opted for steak. Lovely glass of Merlot recommended by staff. I would definitely recommend...

Stayed for three nights in a very nice twin room, I loved the filter coffee in the room. Our hosts were extremely pleasant and nothing was too much for them and everything was done with a smile and cheerful manor. We ate there each evening and cannot fault the food but the highlight for me was the breakfast, no request...

Regularly use the Chetnole where Simon and Marie always make us welcome, and, no matter how busy, always find a table. Food is excellent value, staff very friendly, all you want in a country pub. Have never used the rooms, we're only two villages away, but have spoken to folk who have, always seemed pleased with accommodation available.

We stayed here for 2 nights whilst attending a wedding in Sherborne, we had a very warm welcome from the owners Maria & Simon. The food was fantastic quality and freshly prepared. The room was very clean, comfortable and had everything you needed. Great wi fi which is must these days. We would have no hesitation recommending a stay here.
