My partner and I spent two nights here after a city hotel, for some relaxation. We considered the price reasonable (~100 Euros per night). The pool and restaurant area are just what we needed. The pool is right above the highway but most of the time you wouldn't notice. The view of the Tagus meeting the Atlantic is beautiful any time of day. The food in the restaurant was good, we particularly enjoyed breakfast. The hotel partners with a local masseuse, Nikita, who did a fantastic job on my over-worked legs. Two days prior, we had hiked at Sintra and Cabo da Roca lighthouse, down to Praia da Aroeira, which left me incredible sore, still (also definitely worth it and highly recommended). I walked out feeling more relaxed and in less pain. If you stay at this hotel, the massage is not to be missed, for only 40 Euros (plus tip, because c'mon, we're all good people here).

The room was comfortable, although we had a small aircon issue where the air would not get cold enough for my hot-natured partner. With the windows open and the breeze, I was comfortable. The bed was sufficient for a good night's sleep, though more pillows would have been appreciated.

Been here for a company conference/meeting.
The place is excellent to organize this kind of events as it’s not too big, easy to get and to go around, with helpful and nice staff.
The breaks fast and restaurante is quite good and besides de good dishes you can also enjoy the nice view of the sea.
Just didn’t get to know the rooms.

It was a wonderful place to stay the weekend. Sea facing spacious room was excellent. The breakfast was delivered at the room due to the Covid norms , and though I specifically mentioned about being a Vegetarian, I was delivered Cheese and Ham, which was a shock . Overall a good experience for the stay and the location.

Fantastic location, local beaches and the pathways that follow the Lisbon area coastline just a short walk away. Rail & road links close by too. Best of all though is the amazing view the hotel has, of Lisbon to the East and the open sea to the West. Staff are particularly welcoming and friendly. Rooms are very spacious and comfortable too.

I originally booked to stay for a week but was lucky enough to be able to work remotely for a while and ended staying several weeks through September as could enjoy the coastal location before and after work and weekends too. Also handy is the suburban train to central Lisbon only takes 20mins and is just 10mins walk away.

We received a warm welcome although late in the evening. Dinner was served efficiently and was extremely good. As I have a slight disability we were kindly given a suite on the ground floor which was furnished to a high standard and the bathroom was large with facilities. The hotel had lovely outside gardens and the sea was across the road and could be seen from the hotel. Everyone was very helpful and made a perfect end to a distressing day. Cannot praise the hotel and staff enough. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

The worst experience regarding service. The bartender kept us waiting for more than five minutes, while sitting in the reception talking to the receptionist! Arrogant and impolite! The receptionist couldn’t answer any of our questions about the hotel. We were given a room with a pilar in front of the window, and asked if we could get a new one. The answer was simply “No”. The room is old and fungus is visible in several places inside the room. We do not recommend thus hotel to anyone!

Lovely hotel with very large rooms. When we first got here, we had a slight issue with the room layout so asked the lady behind reception - Patricia to resolve problem. She was very friendly, approachable and genuinely tried her very best to help. The resolution she offered suited us. All staff at the hotel were lovely and friendly but Patrica went beyond the call of duty to assist. An asset for the hotel and a fab experience for visitors - always service with a smile. Lovely location. Our hotel had a beautiful view of the sea. Would defiantly go back!

The view from the suite of the hotel was incredible. Gorgeous view and balcony. The room was average. I requested a queen size bed for my partner and I and got two fulls together. The furniture is outdated and old. The bathroom was dusty and the light kept flickering. Loud construction next door that was annoying. Average hotel, great view. Pretty pricey…

Prior to writing a review, I always carefully browser through previous comments. Like I did before I selected the place to stay. It's often too easy to reflect negative sensations or to be too positive as well.

Some of the criticisms concerning the hotel are correct. But... when you look at the price level, they probably are written by people who still expect that one can buy a golden ring while paying for copper.

So, here we go: the rooms are extraordinarily big. Suite-like. With living room, kitchenette, bathroom and royal bedrooms. I often pay several hundreds of euros for a room the size of a dog shed in Brussels, Paris, London, Munich... and here, I get 12 times the size for the 1/8 of the price. Yes, they need some upgrades here and there. Nonetheless, a well sized brand new plasma flat screen is included (4x the size of what I often get in aforementioned cities for 300 euros per night).

Cleaning and service are impeccable. And the hotel receptionists are (all of them), very helpful and kind.

Yes, the hotel is near a busy dual carriage way leading into Lisbon. But the double glazing is not too bad. So, unless you're a light sleeper, no problem at all. Definitely not bigger a problem than top class hotels in twice aforementioned cities (I left out New York or Hong Kong, as they are out of category, price wise and noise wise).

Rooms with a sea view are advisable (forget about the noise naggers): sunrise and sunset are gorgeous, but also the view during the day.

Last but not least, there's the more than excellent restaurant "Claro!" so, what more can one ask for.

Not the most modern, super-duper luxurious hotel in the world, but when it comes to price/quality... just great! If you look for a special haven, with a price tag that your mother may remember: this is the place to be.

I'll definitely be back.
