A lovely very cute place yes it is basic and you get what you pay for, people need to be realistic and not complain about this place! We had a twin room with bathroom, average size room, fly nets were provided, bedroom was clean. Yes bathroom was damp, and it does look dated and needs a refurb, but i loved...

A decent budget option in best location for gorilla trekking. Very nice grounds with pleasant outdoor terrace and indoor lobby with fireplace. Agree with other reviewers that rooms are in need of renovation. Very ordinary budget rooms, and yes damp and a little moldy. Bathroom not stellar but not as bad as other reviews suggest, had hot water with good...

You get what you pay for: totally worth the budget price: very clean, spacious rooms, great staff, but badly in need of renovation. Food is average or below average, but cheap (you get what you pay for...a recurring theme!). Directly across from meeting site for all Volcanos hikes and gorilla tracking, so location is key. Grounds are beautiful. Common room...

Wanted somewhere basic and that is what I got! As soon as I was shown to the room by a member of staff I though - oh dear. He tried to open the curtain and it came off the rail, he tried to turn on the bathroom light and the bulb didn't work (said he would send someone to change...

This guesthouse is located within approximately five minutes walking distance from the gorilla tracking station. The staff are friendly and helpful, the restaurant serves good food and the view is fantastic. The rooms are however quite basic, so don't expect anything special. The bathroom is quite damp and surely mouldy. Considering the cost and the fact that most people stay...

great location for the gorilla trekking. Food was good, open fire in the evening. Accomodation was poor though - damp, cold, water literally dripping in the ceiling, mattresses appeared dirty. We were expecting basic but was not up to that standard. We left after one night. It's a shame given the location, and those involved in the setup. To be...

Actually did gorilla trek in Uganda but stayed here prior to nearby Golden Monkey forest walk. Which was excellent, as was local dancing prior to walk. Disappointed that the dancers received minimal donations, please help them out if you watch. Couldn't keep flying bugs out of room because gap at door, so sleep was fitful, although mosquito net kept them...

It's a pretty okay place to stay. It does have stunning views, but so does all of Rwanda it seems. It's location is AMAZING, considering it's right next to the trekking station (5 minute walk). Food was pretty average, and the staff are friendly. It's definitely basic, but basic will do in this part of Rwanda. But in the end,...

The location of this guesthouse is really good, close to the meeting point for trekking gorillas and the views are nice. Food and breakfast was ok. Keeping in mind their room rates, this guesthouse is perfectly ok.

Everyone knows in real estate that it's "location, location, location!" and there is no exception when describing this property. Situated just a stone's throw away from the ranger station/meeting point for trekking all of Rwanda's habituated gorillas, you couldn't ask for a better location. Situated just outside Parc National des Volcanes, this property had amazing views of the imposing volcano...

“There weren't many rooms by the looks so any would be fine. If you are travelling in a group or family the VIP room might be ok with 2 bathrooms (1 with shower, 1 with tub), a "lounge" area, however, only 1 double bed.”
