About
Description
The Elephant Camp was established in late 2015 by Tiger Tops. Our aim is to give our resident elephants a little more autonomy and freedom; in turn this allows our guests to have the most unique and More authentic elephant experience in Asia. Our Elephant Camp is home to our twelve resident elephants, the beauty of our outlet is that guest activities run on elephant time; guests can join alongside the herd on daily walks through the jungle, help our mahouts cut bundles of grass for the elephants to eat or observe the elephants bathing at the leisure in the Narayani River…to name but a few. Since Tiger Tops was established in 1964 we have been the pioneers of responsible, ethical and sustainable tourism. In the 1960’s we initiated the responsible tourism concept by collaborating with the government to establish Nepal’s National Parks. Our key ethos as a company has always been the preservation and conservation of the wildlife and landscapes of Nepal. The Elephant Camp is yet another pioneering initiative from Tiger Tops. We want you to learn about and engage in the unique relationship between human and elephant. We want you to gain knowledge about this magnificent creature, their significance to the environment, to our community and the wider world. We hope you will enjoy this exceptional mixture of wildlife and culture in a truly mesmerising environment. We look forward to welcoming you! Less
