First time vacation alone with my son. Four weeks Thailand and staying in Kata Poolsite Resort. Mid July, very low season and no one around. Big swimming pool, close to the beach (5minutes walk). Friendly staff and breakfast was okay. If you stay in the back it's a long walk to the entrance. Enough space to park your motor bike.

12 rooms have view over pool, with 4 having direct access into the pool off balconies which is a great concept though the pool ladders need replacing and pool needs maintenance. Our room was occupied by smokers prior to our stay which made it not so pleasant for us, otherwise the room was clean and tidy. Breakfast was average, staff...

Just arrived at this hotel after the driver we booked through the hotel to transfer us from the airport to the hotel was over an hour late!!! Double the price of a normal transfer!!!!!! Not even an apology from the staff... We get to the hotel only to find that the rooms we booked are not inter-leading rooms even though...

Terrible service, late airport pickup and manager who is very unhelpful and rude. Would definitely not recommend this hotel. Customer service is awful and manager is very rude in front of staff! Mix up in bookings and a refusal to make apology or attempt to rectify the situation. Shocking experience and I urge you to please not ever book at...

Family with 2 teenagers had enjoyable stay at Kata Poolside. Resort is simple but has everything you need - clean rooms, excellent location (200 m to beach), nice pool, and very friendly staff! Pool bar shut but telephone located at the pool bar area will deliver whatever you want (including beer) for you at reasonable cost. Went for excellent massage...

While it's not the Ritz, it's a good little place to base your self for the Kata experience on a budget. Clean and tidy, and the staff are always welcoming. We had adjoining rooms to accommodate our teen kids - hence the budget. Only complaint - no surf, but we didn't come for that!

Good size pool, spoiled with a lack of sun loungers. Good size rooms, spoiled by having a balcony that faced a block wall and roof of a building running along the length of the hotel block. Convenient for town and beach. The restaurant opens directly onto the roadside and you would have to share it with customers walking off the street....

Stayed here for six nights and was very happy with the overall experience. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and tidy and we had a vary specious balcony at the end of the hotel overlooking the mountains and big buddha. The hotel is central located in Kata about two minutes walk from the beach. The...

In need of some love & restoration ideal location nice & quiet. Staff friendly & very helpful. Hubby has stayed here before. Not enough sun beds around the pool but, you have the beach 2 min walk away
