I stayed in this hotel for one night. Booked directly... While checkout, the lady at counter handed over a printed handed over a hand written bill. When I asked for a computerized bill, in a very rough tone the man standing near the counter said we don't have computerized bill. Also she denied taking payment by card. The man said in a very rough tone CAN YOU PAY BY CASH... as if threatening me... On saying my company does not accept hand written bills and cash payments, he said that is your problem... I have stayed in hundreds of hotels owing to my nature of job. I have not seen such arrogant people in hospitality industry.
It was my family lunch at moti mahal and we really enjoy, specially service was outstanding, food also good. My daughter like starter call honey potato or sweet potato ( something name like that). We will be back.
This place is near paltan bazaar, on rajpura road. we went there for food and had the worst food. Salt was high, crowd was not good. Staff was still nice, but food was aweful. I recommend eat street food than eating food here, as street food will be more tasty.
Stayed at Moti Mahal during my recent visit to Dehradun. The location of the hotel is bang on the Rajpur Road commercial area. However, the rooms continue to be sub-standard. It was supposed to be a delux room but it was pretty basic & there was nothing delux about it. In the name of toiletries.there was one small soap & a shampoo sachet of Rs. 1 !! Had food at the hotel's restaurant. The food was ok but the prices are steep. There are many better options available.
The room was in need of maintenance, bed-sheets dotted here and there, one long, black hair over the bed. There was no possibility to change air and, as the smell of the room was demonstrating, it was a long time since that happened the last time. Staff cleaned floors with dirty mops. The quality of the food in the restaurant is scarce if not worst. On Lonely Planet it was written that this Hotel was "unspotted", most probably they have been here very long ago.
Hi, stayed here on a business trip. I really liked the place in terms of ambience, rooms, Food is really good & last but not the least location is superb - Bang near clock Tower. It's a decent property to spend a night or two.......
My friend and I dined at Moti Mahal Restaurant in Dehradun. It is centrally located and the Indian/Moghlai cuisine served there is pretty good. Their service is prompt and courteous, I wonder if this is a franchise of the famous Moti Mahal in Daryaganj in Delhi?
The hotel is located near to the clock tower. We stayed there for a day, when we were going to musoorie. It is a little crowded area as both the markets - paltan bazar and rajpur road are nearby. But it is good place to stay as you can walk down to street markets for shopping. There are lot of good eating stalls and cost of food are also reasonable.
On Rajpur road near clock tower is Moti mahal. Excellent location. I was there for two days on business trip. The staff is grumpy and seems to be over burdened. Rooms are ok...not that neat n clean. I preferred to eat at nearby hotel Punjab, very good nonveg. Better choices are there than this, at same tariffs.
Placed in central location of Dehradoon. Staff was ok. Not value for money. Bathrooms are old fashioned and need maintenance. Restaurant is part of hotel and have many cuisines. As per rooms...lityle pricey..but ok.
