I went here on a solo holiday with horse riding in May 2016, before I had gone home I had already booked for October and convinced a friend to come along. In October, before I left I had already booked again for next May. I think this speaks volumes. I never go back to the same place twice but this...

My friend and I booked a cookery weekend at Finca Las Encinas and it was the best decision we've made for a while. The finca was a truly authentic Andalucian style with thick whitewashed walls, dark and cool indoor rooms, cosy corners with everything having that rustic feel to it. Anything you needed was provided for you; shampoo, hairdryer, pool...

Every single part of our stay at Finca Las Encinas exceeded our expectations. The views are one thing, but the food and hospitality are seriously next level and will certainly be highlight of your stay here. The owners are seasoned chefs and the food is unbelievably fresh and prepared with expert craftsmanship. The rooms are quaint, simple, and perfect for...

On arrival I was greeted with a spanish kiss on both cheeks by both Maki and Clive, and a friendly tail wag from Lassie, their sweet natured little dog. My first view from the porch, where breakfast and dinner are enjoyed under a shady vine, were stupendous. Hills dotted with olive trees and the blue of the Andalucian sky. I...

We booked a 4 day long weekend combined with a fish cooking class in Finca Las Encinas. Maki and Clive were wonderful hosts making our stay a really relaxing and enjoyable experience. The quiet and rural environment added to this. The cooking class was an absolute highlight and we were amazed by how easy it is to prepare a fantastic...

We stayed last October when we were needing a break. This is an ideal spot. Comfortable without complication and delightfully relaxed. We lay back and enjoyed the food which is hard to beat anywhere around and the calm atmosphere. Clive mapped out a great walk for us through the olive groves that was brilliant and full of archeological surprises. Great...

This was a perfect week for us,with outstanding hosts.Clive and Maki are a remarkable couple immersed in Spanish life and the local community.Clive's cooking, as a former head chef,is gourmet standard, without gourmet prices. The finca is beautifully situated on the edge of a rural hamlet and rooms are tastefully furnished by Maki. They provided us with maps and guidance to...

The hosts Maki & Clive were very welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable about the local area. Our room was immaculate, spacious, cool and tastefully rustic, during the couple of days bad weather the underfloor heating was fab, and when it was hot there was plenty of space around the pool with comfortable beds. The views from the pool and patio where...

My friend and I had a great time with Clive and Maki. The Finca was gorgeous and it was delightful to learn to cook Spanish cuisine using produce from the gardens! It was unseasonably cold and rainy for early May so we weren't able to use the pool but we did explore the surrounding towns (Priego de Cordoba was a...

It truly felt like mum and I had lived with a family for a week. Clive and Maki were so accessible for advice, for stories, recommendations and just sharing their day with us. We tended to head off after breakfast (I think I was early to bed so I could wake up for this!) after taking direction and then return...
