Perched at the top of the steep drop to Runswick Bay sits this wonderful hotel. We had decided to spend an extra night in the area and so booked this hotel since we decided it looked more hosplitable than other nearby establishments, and what an excellent decision it was. After an evening stroll down to the bay and a pint...

We were staying at the nearby campsite and this hotel provided both a place to have a quiet drink and a very pleasant meal. The staff were very friendly and there was 2 bars and a restaurant, although you could have food in any room as well as outside. The hotel is also dog friendly, although they are not allowed...

Lovely setting. Car parking next to the pub. Very busy on my visits, though staff were swift in their service so didn't have to wait for long for my drink. A lot of customers having meals. Again when I ordered I didn't have to wait long for food to arrive. All pleasant. Could even take food out as take a...

Staying with our daughter and her family at the local campsite. Had an early evening meal at this hotel to celebrate her birthday. Very friendly staff,Steph in particular. Super food served promptly. Very necessary when there are young children in the party.

Called in here with my dog after a walk along the cliff tops. Good selection of ale and very friendly staff. Including chocolate Labrador Ted. He's a beauty. Lovely natured. I had a couple of pints and returned later for some food. The menu isn't massive but covers most things. I was going to opt for the cod and chips...

So after a long walk on a hot sunny day we planned to stop for lunch at the RB Hotel. We were impressed with how the pub had been redecorated since our last visit & the outside eating area looked a great place to sit in the sun and eat. We ordered 2 paninis and 2 drinks, 30 mins later...

Four of us ate here on a Saturday evening. We booked as when walking passed we noticed it was busy. For four mains and four desserts with a decent bottle of Chardonnay we thought the bill was very reasonable at £81. The food was excellent with generous portions. I would definitely recommend this venue.

We did not actually stay at the hotel but we ate there for two days and actually returned the second time because it was so nice and so friendly. We have two dogs and stopped the first time because we saw the hotel had outside seats. When we enquired we were told we could bring the dogs inside. We decided...

Really good pub food at this super village pub/hotel. We'll be going again. Good value too and an easy walk either to the Cleveland way path or to the beach. The beer and draught cider are also very good.
