its very near to parking and the cottage is big enough for two people not good for three. from cottage to chaircar station you need a 10 to 15 min walk and vice versa. the nearest place from parking spot is gmvn govt guest house. there is one private hotel in auli name as hotel cliftop club. it's very near to the artificial lake in auli and if you take the ropeway from joshimath its very near to the 8th tower station in auli.
i won't recommend you to visit auli in this month or coming months. its a winter destination. try it between january 20 to february 10, when auli and himalayas coverd in snow.
