Blue Poppy resorts in Auli has 24 wooden huts with modern facilities. The Blue poppy resort is located as most beautiful location in Auli. You can visit anytime during the year and you will be greeted with different type of landscapes according to the season of visit. You can see clouds in monsoon season, snow slopes in winter season and clear peaks in summer season. All the huts in the resort provide you a 180 degree view of the higher peaks like Hathi, Ghoda, Palki and Nanda Devi. This is the only resort in Auli which is motor able and Nada Devi is visible. Our whole resort is constructed in alpine wood like Chid, Deodar and Raga. You will feel very nice fragrance of wood in the room. Apart from toilet floors and some pathways we did not use cement in our resort to protect the nature. This is heaven for birdwatchers as well. You can see lot of beautiful birds near the resort. We serve homely food and cook as per daily requirement. We never serve stale food.

Everything was lovely, from location to service. The staff is extremely helpful and will give you the best service. The view is mesmerising. No complaints. Would definitely like to visit again.

P.S one needs to take a cable car for 1000₹ bucks pp and then a chair lift for 500₹ pp to reach the property!

This is a beautiful resort in Auli that offers breathtaking view of the mountains. It is located just a few stairs away from Auli Chaircable starting point. The wooden cottage rooms are good. This resort also has a great dining hall that offers a mesmerising three-sided view of the mountains.
I stayed here during September end when everything was vacant, the owner of the resort offered us a great deal.

We were recommended Blue Poppy and it was a decision that was definitely correct. The property is made up of cosy and lovely cottages and is very close to the ropeline. The highlight of our stay was the staff- they were the most friendly and helpful. From arranging tea and snacks in the evening to giving us hot water despite freezing, they did everything with a smile and made us feel welcome. The food is also homely, hygienic and tasty. Overall, super experience. Thanks Blue Poppy and the team. 5 star

Visited at the time of snowfall. They have great facilities (hot water, heater, 24*7 power) even in such extreme weather conditions.
They have very good cottages, all newly built and very well maintained.

We booked this hotel via direct telephone. Since the beginning, Ms Anjali has been very helpful. She explains all the process for booking as well as how to get there. We were a little bit worry to go to Auli due to sudden surge of COVID-19 cases in India and also due to last minute announcement of Auli ropeway non-operational. Ms Anjali was agreed to reschedule our booking in case we decided not to go. However, we decided to come to Auli, and we did not regret it at all. Mr Abishek contacted us on the day we are going to arrive there. He arranged a transportation from Joshimath to Auli (by taxi). He greeted us at the hotel reception and answer to all of our questions. The hotel is nicely located. Our cabin has a direct view to the Nanda Devi peak. The cabin was exactly as mentioned on the website and as pictured on their photographs. Bed was very comfortable, electric heater was working well. It was well lit by sunlight. It makes the cabin warm in harsh winter. The cabin is made out of wood and it is the best for cold weather. Dinner and breakfast were amazing. Foods were delicious and the amount more than sufficient. It was Indian vegetarian food (simple but properly made and very delicious). We also would like to thank Mr. Ranjeet who has been very helpful providing buckets of hot water and helped us to bring our backpacks to the chair lift. Overall, it was a spectacular stay at the Bluepoppy Resort

Wooden Cottages done are almost makeshift type. There is no keen eye for detailing and looks like every thing was done in a hurry.
Bathroom are terrible. On the first day we stayed in the room above reception and the bathroom was absolutely stinking. The rest of the room is pretty good.
On our last day returning back from Ghangaria we were given another cottage, slightly smaller than previous one but again bathroom is bad and construction quality overall is just OK.
There was no hot water and had to request them to give hot water in bucket.
Food- same food repeats almost every day but quality is good.
One last point, the steps from Parking to reception is very badly maintained and has no lights after dark.
The Guide (Shailesh) who stayed with us for all 4days is excellent and I would give him 5* .
Do i want to come back again or refer anyone else, well i will have to think hard!
