Blue Poppy resorts in Auli has 24 wooden huts with modern facilities. The Blue poppy resort is located as most beautiful location in Auli. You can visit anytime during the year and you will be greeted with different type of landscapes according to the season of visit. You can see clouds in monsoon season, snow slopes in winter season and clear peaks in summer season. All the huts in the resort provide you a 180 degree view of the higher peaks like Hathi, Ghoda, Palki and Nanda Devi. This is the only resort in Auli which is motor able and Nada Devi is visible. Our whole resort is constructed in alpine wood like Chid, Deodar and Raga. You will feel very nice fragrance of wood in the room. Apart from toilet floors and some pathways we did not use cement in our resort to protect the nature. This is heaven for birdwatchers as well. You can see lot of beautiful birds near the resort. We serve homely food and cook as per daily requirement. We never serve stale food.

We wento auli on 12 to 14 January,2021 and after little research and reviews I decided to book my room at Blue poppy resort and never regret about that during my stay. If you are the one who works in metro city or into corporate and want some "me time" experience around the splendid views of mountains with complete peace, this is the perfect place for you. The wooden huts are made with much perfection that you cannot complain about anything. As a regular traveler of mountains , I can imagine how difficult it is to maintain this type of cottage on the heights. but these resort feels complete. The resort is located on the center of auli and you can have wonderful view of the entire auli from almost every room. You can stay at others resort like nandadevi eco huts or auli ski resort. But , the only problems you will face there is you cannot get hot water in bathroom as its freezing in water pipes. Also you have to pay for cable car and chair car to reach there which is bit costlier. At blue poppy resort , I haven't face this issues. staff was very friendly and food was testy. some people may find it costly but trust me its worth paying each penny.

I stayed in Blue Poppy Resort Auli Branch for about 8 days after trekking to Valley of Flowers and Hemkund Sahib. I was travelling solo since a couple and a friend who were supposed to travel with me backed out at the last moment.

I am 63 and a retired Wg Cdr from Indian Air Force. I had some apprehension of being a bit lonely during my trek and travel and was unaware of my fitness level etc. All these turned out to be absolutely unfounded. I immediately made really great friends and the smiles and politeness shown by the youngsters who looked after the guests made the experience very pleasant. Devkant and Seema look after the guests like family. Devkant is huge in his knowledge of the flora and fauna… he is enthusiastic and protective about all environment….. he is an ideal guide who connects with all the participants and educates them. I learnt a lot from him and Seema.. I think they provide excellent hands on service in a clean and natural environment.

The accommodation and food were top class while requiring participants to refrain from wastage and leaving the area cleaner then before they came.

I did a few treks around Auli to Gordon Bugyal and could not go for the 3 day camping trip. Maybe next time when I bring my children and their families.

I had an extremely spiritual experience far away from the hustle and bustle of Mumbai.

There’s excellent mobile coverage and one can keep in touch with family at all times.

There’s excellent views of the majestic Himalayas all around and Nanda Devi is visible quite often.

Thanks Devkant and Seema. I learnt a lot and relaxed at the same time. Will see you again with family in the next few years when my granddaughter is a little older.

Keep up the good work!

Blue Poppy Resort Auli is one of the most exquisite properties in the Auli Region. It's in perfectly updated condition with good facilities to suit the weather. The food is the most surprising part of this property, they serve scrumptious meals at lightning fast speed. Food is an area that this property stands out completely along with it's location and proximity to the cable car that'll take you to Tower 8 from where you can hike to go skiing. The staff is very courteous and helpful in nature and you'll definitely not regret staying here.

I visited the resort in August and stayed there for 3 nights. I took their valley of flowers package for my family of four. The hosts Mr Devkant and Ms Seema ensured that everything was perfect. Mr Devkant personally escorted us to the first warm up trek to Gorson Bugyal and his knowledge of the flora fauna is amazing. The staff is super courteous and helping and the food was lovely. The view from the resort actually transcends your soul with the magnificent mountain ranges. Please don’t carry your bathroom slippers as they provide you with a pair in the resort and even in ghangaria Swiss camps. I would love to go there in winters as well to have the snow view. Would highly recommend the resort for best services, best food and above all for the personalised care and warmth of the staff. Mr Abhishek and Mr Sanjay excel in kindness and warmth. We all loved the hospitality and the experience

We booked this stay with Blue Poppy Holidays along with our tour package for Valley of Flowers. This is probably one of the best resorts in Auli in terms of location, amenities, food and hospitality. We were so enamored by it that we added 1 more day to stay at this resort just to make sure that we would be able to leave with a content heart.

The owner who stayed with us at the resort was always concerned and checking up on us from time to time. She always made sure to consider our requests and accommodate whichever were possible for her to fulfill. The staff are extremely helpful and courteous. The meals are great with a selection of mains, rice, parathas/chapattis and a dessert. The cottages we stayed at are beautiful and rustic. Running hot water was available at all times which was very comforting for us.

I don’t really have anything negative to say about my experience and I would love to book my stay again here, perhaps during the winter time in the future.

Best place to stay in Auli, Uttarakhand... The staffs are polite, well behaved and super helpful... the view around the resort is magnificent... the rooms are well maintained and have excellent view of the snowcapped mountains. The kitchen staffs provide verities of tasty veg food options even in that remote location.
Was there for 2 nights and would obviously love to spend few more in future to come.
Thank you.

Pros: Fantastic mountain view, great hospitality and wonderful staff. It is nearer to the skiing center and at 1 hour trek from artificial lake.

Cons: Ropeway was closed when we visited. Jeeps and Altos(!) are looting customers by taking advantage of this. Check with the hotel about the transport arrangements from Joshimath.

Stay would be more pleasant if the management can do something about 24/7 hot water availability. It might be difficult, but not impossible considering the exorbitant rates they charge to customers.

We visited Blue Poppy Resort Auli for valley of flowers and hemkunt sahib trek in End July'22. The hotel is 105 stairs away on the mountain from where you driver drops you. This is the start of your trek !! The stay was good, comfortable. The flowers, snow-clad mountains, the valley from the hotel are awsome. Support staffs and variety of veg foods are plenty and quality is excellent. Devkant and Seema - both of them keep monitoring the comfortability of their guests. Guides choosen for the trips are good. We had 1 day Gorson Bugyal trek before 4 days Pulna to Pulna trek for Gangaria, Valley of Flowers and hemkunt sahib. The blue poppy tents are also good and just in front of the helipad and you can see valleys in between the mountains on your front as well as on your back. Actually you can take lesiure, sit back on a chair in your tent balcony and spend the entire day. Food varities are little less because of remoteness of the place. Everything is transported here by horses. It includes all foods, building materials and everything you can get there. These are all temporary tents so built on some stones paths however basic amenities are well kept including hot water. The package may look a bit costly but you have to pay the price for their hard work for remoteness and making you comfortable as much as they can. Overall very nice experience with Blue Poppy Holidays!
Talking about the trek. I did it with my 7+ year old daughter. I walked for all the 5 days for almost 52 Km (I doubt the kms written there. It must be more than what is written in the milestones) and she walked for almost 30 km. Last day we all walked 10 km from Gangaria to Pulna in 4 hours 50 minutes. If you are with family, average walking speed is a little more than 1 Km per hour. If you are alone and can climb up in a constant speed, you can walk 2 - 2.5 km per hour. So have courage !. This trek route is not even moderate (in my opinion) considering the constant upward sloping and not having much plains to walk. However, It is a matter of pride at the end. So enjoy trekking!

The stay was decent. Cottage was damm freezing. It's extremely uncomfortable with limited heating capacity of heater. Heated blanket was provided later only when we complained. Staff were very helpful but with limited resources they were also constrained. I fail to understand why someone has to request for heated blankets when it's available. Warm water was available on request. Cottages are small and you should choose it with caution. Remember, small cottages do not have even decent walking space. Walkways were never cleaned and with tons of snow converted to ice, all the walkways were too slippery. Inspite of good snow boots we slipped at least 10's of times.
You are paying a bomb only because these cottages are difficult to maintain in such an uninhabitable place. You will enjoy the food, room service and certainly a great view from most of the rooms.
Advise not to visit in Jan unless you are a snow animal.

The views are one of the major highlights of the place. You can just be there and enjoy nature all around you. Just sit on the porch of your room and see the snow-capped mountains...aah..I miss that...

The rooms are great (though slightly small), cosy and the blanket & heater keep you warm through the winter nights. The staff is very helpful and attentive to your needs. Mr Ashok who was available on-call throughout our stay did a great job at providing anything we needed.

The food is vegetarian, nevertheless tasty and good options during breakfast and dinner times.

Definitely recommend everyone a trip to auli and a stay at Blue Poppy
