It was the last day of our college and so me and my group of five friends decided to go on a weekend trip to some good place near the city. We unanimously decided to go to Kolad for river rafting and some trekking. Booked rooms here at Kundalika cottages and had a great time here. The greenery is great and the place has a peaceful aura around it. Rooms were nice and quite spacious. Had a great time in river rafting though it has to paid for separately. Food was also good and hygienic and the staff was cooperating. All in all it was a wonderful trip and memories we wont forget.

I was planning a small 2 day trip as my cousins came from Delhi.i wanted it to be a little different from my other weekend fun..... So after googling places around Mumbai to visit .....planned to go for Kundalika cottages Reached here in around 3 hours...... cottages were very beautiful and so was the River near the cottage...:) Food was awesome....( Buffet system it was) worth having after the 3 hours drive. Then we all went on to our cottages they were very big n maintained well. Then we went for cycling in forest, very much fun it was......weather was cool ......then at evening we played games.......enjoyed bonfire too....

Booked it online via holiday specialist we kept asking for AC rooms while booking and the agent said even if you book it u wont require to turn it on weather is so pleasant but when we reached there around 4:30 pm it was impossible to handle kids as it was to hot. The package included 2 spacious rooms , Yup rooms are to spacious but u wont be able to spend even 10 minutes , The package included Kayaking with rafting so we got the kids for kayaking ,It was a small river muddy we actually had to push our kids to get in it , no safety there were 3 jackets kept no one to to guide , we tried to enjoy our fullest in the muddy water , while booking package we added Barbecue and born fire another mistake , His guy came and started it and handed over to us when we couldn't do it and asked for help he came and did it but no use as it was not marinated so we have to threw all the chicken and veggies we ordered , The place is compromised with limited staff so don't expect any extra services , Food is OK . no a la carte so if you are planning to take kids ensure you take some snacks .Only thing you would enjoy is rafting but that is again done through a different vendor and kids below 14 not allowed.

Something amiss here. We are only providing for White Water Rafting. The Resorts are booked by us for the guests offline after a comprehensive dialogue with the guest. Our process is "Offline". Looks like you did not have a great experience with Online booking through some Travel Portal. We advice that you get in touch with next time around. For the future travelers, AC accommodation is suggested for most of the year expect may be the months of Dec and January. The place is always humid and the afternoon heat makes the things invariably uncomfortable. Ensure that you are always booking an AC accommodation.

Went here with a group of friends and it's just a 3-4 hour drive from Mumbai. Located near the river, the weather was cool and pleasant and the cottages are quite spacious and have an soothing aura around them. The staff was extremely friendly and tried to make our stay quite comfortable. Food was good and hygienic. Plus quite a lot of activities to be done around like river rafting, cycling etc. Overall a memorable trip and a relaxing stay away from the city buzz. Planning to visit again!

I went with my family last weekend and it was really a fun loaded trip. It feels truly close to the nature. Everything right from the time we checked in was provided on time. Rooms were quite big and very well managed with respect to interior. food was delicious and it was systematically arranged in a buffet system. Staff was very nice and helping. Activities provided here are worth enjoying. Kayaking was very pleasurable and must be in a to do list when u come here ☺. Overall a memorable trip will visit soon. Thanks to the management :-)

Nestled near the backwaters of Kundalika river, this is one of the best places to stay during your visit to kolad...the staff is very polite and helpful...cottages are huge and spacious, so is the property in itself. The buffet Lunch and dinner Menus are simple but tasty and will suffice for your taste buds. Since our group was huge (arnd 25 ppl) the management was kind enuf to arrange a DJ night (at own expense) for us...We were also given the facility of free drop to rafting starting point (20 kms away) by the owner.... Overall, the place is quite good to stay and the owner (Manoj Sharma) is very co operative and helpful. P.S.: There are no mobile networks in this area...so just throwaway your cell phone and enjoy the peace and calm of the nature....

We were shocked when we entered the cottage. The floor tiles were broken and loose.. Bedsheets were torn and shamelessly had been knotted. Bed linen and pillow covers were used and dirty.. Bathroom flush broken. The roof is made of sheets.. So be ready to sweat in the heat. No a/c.. Highly over priced..

The property is huge. The common dining area is visible to your left, as soon as you reach the premises. To your right, the cottages are located on a bit of an uphill slope. The place has small antique stuff which is a delight to look at. The rooms are airy and extremely spacious. Again the rooms have alot of antique items, right from the bed, cupboard to the dressing table. More about the rooms:- if you're not a nature person, then there are alot of frogs and other creepy crawlies that visit in the night, plus the rooms have scary portraits located at odd places. Also a room had a mirror adjacent to the bed and a portrait of a woman's face reflecting on it. (Scary sight if you suddenly wake up). Not to forget, we saw many lizards in the night. Amenities: hot water is provided. No signal coverage, so be sure to inform your close ones about your whereabouts. You can access the owner's landline phone for any calls. Food: whatever items cooked were delicious That's about it. Overall location is perfect if you're a brave heart.
