This was my third visit to Lansdowne. I stayed in Alpine Resort Lansdowne, 14 – 16 May 2022. It was overall an average experience, nothing special or memorable. Earlier, I had stayed in Blue pine resort in 2016 and wanted to stay in same resort this time also. But due to non-availability, I was offered Alpine resort. The manager informed me that Alpine resort is an associated property, and its standard and quality is matchable with Blue pine resort. As I had experienced the stay in blue pine resort previously, I can clearly say that both the properties are non-comparable. Quality of Blue pine resort is much much much better. First, this is a hotel property, not resort. No green area/play area etc. For garden area and swimming pool, they provide access to Blue pine resort, which is 5 min walk from Alpine resort. You can easily explore Blue pine resort and there is no restriction. Location of the hotel is fine. They have balcony in each room, but size is small. They have swings in balcony, but only in platinum rooms not in premium. Please note that you don’t get the direct valley view. It’s very much obstructed by road and houses in between. Also, lock of the door towards balcony was not working. Rooms are fine, but beds are of small size. The bed linen was not clean. Curtains were also dirty. Bathroom area is very small. At time of our check in, they didn’t bother to put water bottles in room. They don’t provide mineral water bottle as other hotels do, they give RO water in glass bottles, which is an environmental-friendly move, but before checking in of any guest, it must be placed beforehand. There is a major problem of internet as well phone network, only Jio seems to work. Hotel Wi-fi works only and only in lobby and corridors, not at all in rooms. They must work on to provide wi-fi inside the rooms also, as I have visited many other hotels in hills at much greater height that provide good wifi connection inside rooms also. Their food is not sumptuously tasty and good, I will not recommend anyone. I found this as a major negative point. Breakfast was average, but still edible and had variety. It was a buffet, with aloo poori/parathas, poha/vermicelli, sandwich, boiled egg/omelette, bread. We had dinner here, the variety was not great, very limited it was. Taste of food was bland. They made kadhai chicken – which was not properly cooked and was smelling. I informed the same to in- charge over there – but he seemed to be not much bothered by this. He didn’t respond to my complaint. I also ordered chilly chicken in our room, which was also very hard, uncooked and not tasty. Their café – the Alps café was not open. So please don’t depend on this café for alternate food option. Outside the hotel also, you can find some Maggi and bread-omelette Tea points, but not very great. They organize DJ during dinner, which is a good program. Front desk reception was not pleasant, warm, and welcoming, but were very frozen and quiet. We were not even offered welcome drink. They won’t wish you also Good morning or good evening. Overall, I won’t strongly recommend this property to my friends and relatives. If I happen to visit Lansdowne again, I will prefer blue pine resort over Alpine resort.

Nice hotel on the main road with parking space and near to main market road, With all the amenities of a 4-5 star property like cabinet, 24 hours electricity, hot n cold water, shower, glass door in washroom, bathroom amenities, kettle and fridge, bathroom sleepers in the room. Mr. Avnish has been very helpful in making our trip enjoyable, we were given rooms on the 4th floor which give mesmerizing view of Hills, sun rise and sun set. Kids enjoyed the swimming pool and DJ night on Sunday. Their roof top Terrace and restaurant is amazing. Swimming pool is in their adjoining property Blue Pine but Alpine Guests have access there. Location is good as it's near to Bhulla lake and market area. there is Tea, Maggie and Egg stall just opposite the hotel and a small grocery shop too for any emergency requirements. Food was decent and tasty. We ordered lunch and dinner one day. Buffet breakfast was ok ok, but the staff helped to understand the requirement and made paranthas as per our taste. Overall great experience!!

Room conditions were good, could be more spacious. View are only great from 4th floor onwards. Do ask prior to booking the floor you want. They put photos from Blue pine resort. Not much activities like swimming, spa etc are available. It's all there in Blue pine resort present beside alpine resort. Also any food that you order will attract service charge, the excuse that they give is that it comes from their cafe downwards which is their own. Also Costlier than other resorts.
