Ok - its been a while since I stayed in backpacking places and places have improved in terms of services and facilities. Stayed here for four nights on work and it was not bad if it is simple comforts which you need such as a good clean bed and room, clean bathrooms (with warm {not hot} water), stable internet. It...

I don't know why, but we weren't comfortable staying in this place. The room was ok, maybe a bit expensive for what it offers, there is a kitchen but people spit everywhere, so... we weren't so keen to use it! Anyway, the place was quiet during the night, and the Hibiscus Motel was full. I would advise you to prefer...

So I returned to Tropicana Motel after three years... management has changed. Rooms were clean and airy as always. Kitchen was well maintained. Had no issues except one day when I got a clean towel that smelt like it had been soaked in mop water.

I was a very late booking, due to some Air Vanuatu issues. This meant that there was a bit of confusion about exactly where I would sleep soon enough we got that figured out. I was put into an 8 bed dorm, which was clean and well looked after. The attached bathroom and shower was in functional order, unfortunately only...

The hotel rooms surrounding a center garden area. It can get loud due to this configuration and lights can be very bright in the rooms all night long. Each room is very small containing a bed and desk. The bathrooms are also small. Everything is very clean however. They decorate the room nicely with hibiscus flowers everyday. There is a...

I stayed in a single room here for 3 nights and was very happy with the choice. It was the cheapest option in town and well located (across from a night market and 5 min walk to the dive shops). The room had a bathroom attached and was very clean. There were flowers and petals in the room each morning,...

Tropicana is a good place with a good price. It is located near the market which has fresh fruits and small restaurant stalls, and it is only a short walk to the center of town. It has a huge kitchen where you can cook or just keep food cold. The rooms are small but contain a private toilet and shower....

A fantastic place to stay in Luganville for business trips, school groups or backpackers. Rooms are small but clean and have own bathrooms attached. Lovely courtyard in the middle of the hotel to sit and enjoy breakfast or plan your day. Tropicana also has a huge kitchen and modern cooking facilities. Internet is moderate speed but reliable. Both 'dorm' and...

The Tropicana is a little hidden gem in Luganville. Very comfy clean and safe minutes walking from the local market where you can find fresh local produce and hearty delicious meals for very cheap. The kitchen is huge, clean and well equipped with a large fridge, 2 stoves, microwave, big dining table, you name it. The rooms are small yet...
