Mr. Rabindra Kang has done excellent job, he is smart treat me with warm with patience at the time of check in, provided all assistance need till my stay. The staff proactively helped us carry our luggage up when we arrived and down when we left! The breakfast each morning was delicious! The rooms were comfortable and clean. The staff was very nice. We also enjoyed the rooftop area! We had two great evenings here, which obviously also added up to the experience. We loved staying at this hotel. It was quaint and just what we wanted!

We stayed at Cochrane Place for a night and it was an awesome experience. It's a fascinating hotel with a lot of history. There's an eclectic collection of antiques and memorabilia, which lends a nice heritage feel to the place. The rooms provide all modern amenities and are extremely comfortable. But above all, it's the people that make Cochrane special. The staff go all out in making your stay memorable. The food at the restaurant is really good and I would strongly recommend trying the local fare on the menu. They also have an awesome collection of tea, for consumption as well as purchase. In summary, if you are looking for a nice, relaxed and pampered stay at Kurseong, without burning a hole in your pocket, then look no further.

Rabindra, the GM is always welcoming and attentive the other staff members were sweet and polite. The view there from the patio is just the best part of the resort. The food is great if you want to try out Himalayan cuisine.

We had a 2 day retreat at the Heritage, timeless "Cochrane Place Hotel" in Kurseong, about 20 kms from Darjeeling . A restored mansion, with wood paneling, 4 poster beds, old fireplaces, innumerable artifacts and treasures like the old rotary telephones, Remington typewriters, old prints of the DHR( the Darjeeling Heritage Railway), Himalayan bird paintings on wooden louvres, original artwork by Hugo Schreiber....it's like living in a Colonial Museum!! Our room (we got upgraded to Delux room by the very helpful manager , Mr Ravindra. The room is a combination of the heritage with the modern - heritage beds and panelling and desk with a very modern bathroom. Impeccable service and delicious gourmet meals and exquisite teas too at the "Chai Country Cafe ! A must visit place if one is traveling to Darjeeling/Sikkim( about 1&1/2 hrs from Bagdogra airport). A hidden jewel amongst the undulating, foggy hills and terraced , verdant tea gardens of Kurseong. We would like to visit again, and recommend it to fellow travellers, for a very comfortable journey down time to a bygone era.

We stayed there enroute to the Sandakphu trek. Awesome property with heritage Art Deco. Great view of the mountains and the sunrise and the sun set. Meals were very good. Very courteous and helpful staff. Aptly managed.
