Situated just outside the town Kurseong, WB(India) and perched on a ridge overlooking the Ambootia Tea Estate, Cochrane Place has a total of 28 bedrooms & three duplex suites. Each of our rooms, which overlook the magnificent Himalayan mountain range & picturesque valley, have an individual character. They are equipped with contemporary amenities and yet retain a traditional old world charm. Guests can relish nostalgic recipes from the past such as crumpets & pies; Savour authentic Anglo Indian cuisine with special recipes from the Raj at our restaurant Pankhabari - many of the ingredients & vegetables used in the cooking are grown in our very own vegetable garden; and finally sample over 30 different varieties and blends of teas in Cafe Chai Country - our specialist tea cafe. We had the most amazing time at Cochrane place. We loved the rooms and the food served to us. They had the most friendliest staff who were ever so cheerful and helpful. We also loved Scooby's company who made the stay all the more worthwhile. Shout out to all the staff and Rabindra dai for an amazing hospitality.

Excellent hospitality from this heritage hotel. The rooms gives the feeling of warmth and coziness. It is amazing to see the old utility items working in good condition, taking you back to your childhood when many such things existed. This property is situated in such a good location that one can see both the valleys, with beautiful views of Kurseong and Siliguri towns. Very peaceful environment with a lot of locations inside where one can take photos. Courteous, helpful and smiling staff, along with good food make your holiday very very enjoyable. We had a very good experience when we stayed there. It is a very excellent location and view is amazing. We also could see the sunset, it was so calm and peaceful. Food was very delicious, specially the Chinese crusine and hot coffee. The room was very spacious and cosy. The hotel staff were very cooperative and helpful. It was good to see the vincent show pieces and still intact.

I went here with my husband this month after doing tons of research for the hotels in Kurseong and much I must that it is one of the best place i have ever stayed. The best of the hotel is it's prime location with spectacular views of mountains.And the manager is extremely adjustable and polite. I have requested a small decoration from them to surprise my husband on his birthday and they did the exact same how i wanted to be. I'm so satisfied with their services and behaviours. The food quality is also top notch. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a memorable stay in your trip.

Having Travelled the length and Breadth of India, I have stayed over 100 Hotels for sure, Taken several trips, both leisure and business travel. Never had this happened to me before, that I am still feeling mesmerized about what just did i experience a few days back. I am just awestruck! The Cochrane Place, Kurseong, is the best ever property I have stayed in India. Why do I say this? Well, Sure several star properties and resorts are a part of my past experiences but I have never felt this good when it comes to the SERVICE, HOSPITALITY, AMBIENCE, HYGIENE, ROOM & F&B. IMPECCABLE SERVICE - What A Team, What Enthusiastic Service Boys and Stewards for the rooms and restaurant. They literally give their heart to serve you. Oh by the way, they are thoroughly professional and atitude is the cherry on the cake, unmatchable by most of the hotels in this region. HOSPITALITY - This boutique property should be a training ground for all Hotel Management Students and Institutes should actually consider this as their Industry Partner. This is how a hotel should deliver on Hospitality and giving guests a wonderful experience. AMBIENCE - For those of you who want to get transported to the colonial era, or have watched those movies where the bungalow is like a beautiful museum with a heritage of 100 years, this is the place. You will get tired clicking everything that's available at the Cochrane Place and yet you would want more of it. HYGIENE - Everything is so neat & clean, right from the hallways, the bedrooms, washrooms stocked up with all the amenities and actually very nice (Not the regular cheap ones). Bedsheets, blankets and pillow clean, soft & nice. Staff members dressed appropriately, are hygienic and serve you with a pleasant smile. ROOM - The rooms are huge with a typical colonial set up, wooden beds, chimney themed setups, British Era switch boards, wooden latch for the doors and huge ones, antique drawers, and oh yes, the lights! You don't have tubelights, instead you have this amazing Gaslight themed Electric Light hangers and reading lights too. This was just awesome. F & B - This section is the most interesting part of the service experience. The boys at the restaurant along with the chefs had my heart. The F& B manager was so courteous to greet and interact with us and what amazing food they serve. The breakfast was lit too, beautiful decorated with fresh flowers and leaves from their own garden. Their options for F & B is tok good. I have always believed, when employees are rewarded, the leader should be glorified. It is under a great leadership, that an organisation grows. At the heart of this beautiful team doing some amazing service and the upkeep of the hotel lies a GREAT LEADER - MR. RAVINDRA, THE GENERAL MANGER OF THE PROPERTY. This gentleman is just awesome, a staunch professional yet having the sweetest voice to hear to all your request and explaining to you about the property. Had it not been for him, we wouldn't have chosen this property and We would really like to thank him for giving us a memorable stay at the Cochrane Place. I am very much pleased by the services and amenities provided by Cochrane place and what have specially impressed me is the standard of the service and behaviour shown by the f&b team at 'Chai Country' restaurant and I specially Want to mention the name of "Milan Sardar & Rick den" for showing the perfect attitude that is to be expected from a hotelier and the hotel must be having wonderful chefs as the food was amazing.
