Unbeknown to us we had booked a room....without windows (!?).....Fortunately, we could change to a room with windows as the lodge was not busy. Dinner (food and room) very average. Better off eating out for example at Tauren Steak House (good!) in town,

just to let you know, Daisy Country Lodge was one of the best places I have ever stayed. They are clean, friendly staff with a homely atmosphere. This was really a home away from home experience to me. Yes its a farm and even the gravel road was in an excellent condition to get to the farm.

We spent a stop over night here on our way to Namibia. Our room was spacious, clean and neat. The establishment is beautifully laid out with french door leading out onto a garden area. Each cottage has a separate entrance and parking bay allocated. Dinners are served in a cozy hall with a fire place to keep the chill at...

Daisy Country Lodge is a quaint and charming property. The staff offer a warm Namaqualand welcome and the hospitality is outstanding. The food portions are generous and having ducks in the garden and spingbok in the back yard adds to the charm.

They let their 3 cats into the dining area and bedrooms. Don't go here when you are allergic!!!! You will have the worst stay. Also, the wifi is not for free but they won't tell you this, you will notice when you check out....

For years we have been staying in Daisy Country Lodge and we were never disappointed. It is a wonderful stopover between Noordhoek and Windhoek in Namibia. Whatever we asked for was supplied with a smile. Dinner is always a highlight - try the Traditional Dish of the Day and the fish. We will be back.

Nice stay and friendly staff. Good service. I had brekfast box included. It was nice and big, not the same every day. The rooms have no place even to warm up something. You can think about a microwave in the room and some basic cutlery. The guest don't want to eat all meals at the restaurant which is quit expensive....

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
With magnificent views overlooking the koppies and valleys, Daisy Country Lodge is truly an oasis in this semi-desert area. We are conveniently situated just outside Springbok, an hour’s drive from the Namibian Border and nearly halfway between Cape Town and Windhoek.Experience Namaqualand’s spring flowers, rare succulents, rich history and unreal rock formation. With lots to do and see at Daisy and the surrounding towns, this is a destination worth visiting over a few days. Bring the kids and/or your manageable pets for a relaxing break in a luxurious farm style environment, where you can take walks in the surrounding koppies, cycle, ride horses or take lessons on a neighbouring farm, or run freely in the valleys. After a day full of fun and adventure you can relax at our pool, enjoy a delicious meal in our a la carte restaurant, and thereafter a nightcap or just enjoy the brilliant stars and fresh unpolluted air. ... more   less
