Very nice and unique hotel in a great location, among the tea fields. The view is amazing, food is very good, tents' decoration very nice too : overall, a very nice experience, although some may find inconvenience in logistics (the poor road quality is not up to the hotel's standard / price range), environment noise (inherent to tents...) and practiveness...

A stunning place where you can really feel that you've escaped everyday life. The journey there in itself is thrilling, winding your way up through the tea plantations and then the last section in a tuk tuk shuttle along rough tracks. The view from every tent and the main building itself is stupendous. Our tent was beautifully furnished, although the...

The main "lodge" is well built and furnished and a pleasant place to spend time, have a drink or eat meals. Many guests do this, because the tents are not very comfortable places to hang out. This place is far off the beaten track and the roads to it are terrible, it is not a pleasant experience coming and going,...

The Madulkelle Lodge was one of our highlights during our stay in Sri Lanka. The climbing road towards the lodge was the beginning of an unforgettable adventure. Once arrived on top of the hill the view, the staff's service and the pool were fighting to get the best scores and they all deserved it ! The tents are very well...

We decided to break up our two weeks trip to Sri Lanka to spend the weekend in the mountains and we were not disappointed. It took us 8 hours to get here but it was worth it for the view alone. The tents are really comfortable and with a breath taking view. We also treated ourselves to the spa and...

What a special place! Stayed here fo two nights in January. The 'tents' are well equipped and very comfortable with he most incredible views over the hills. Staff are friendly and attentive. Food was good and reasonably priced. It is quite some drive to reach the dizzy heights of Mandlkelle but when you step out onto the patio and see...

We arrived at Madulkelle straight off the plane at breakfast time. Great welcome to a really relaxing place. Super location, good food and friendly staff. Rooms - or lodges - are essentially deluxe safari tents. Not the ultimate in luxury but quite adequate and very private. The " tuc tucsafari" which we took on day two was an experience but...

We stayed 3 nights at Madulkelle in Jan 2017 and it was the highlight of our time in Sri Lanka. Originally we had only booked for 1 night but upon arrival looking at the amazing views we decided we had to stay more. The luxury tents are amazing and very comfortable, beautiful furniture and even robes and luxury shower gels...

We stayed here for 2 nights including New Years Eve in the suite. It was spacious with amazing views & a private plunge pool. Food was excellent, staff were all very friendly & we really liked the owner's philosophy of caring for the local community (helping fund a local school - foundation stones laid while were there). Chicken soup the...

We spent 3 nights here and absolutely loved it here!! Staff were fantastic, views were amazing and food was very good indeed. We took a trek up knuckles mountain to the second knuckle and then walked around the local area ourselves through the tea plantations and the little villages. Everyone was really friendly helping us find our way back, really...
