Four of us went to Hotel Las Garzas for lunch. The menu looked good, but we had been talking about hamburgers so we decided to go American and had the hamburgers(with a Mexican flair). we stayed for 2 nights in august 2012, this hotel sucks, price is cheap, but so are the rooms, the lights went out everyday, the fan, the lamps and even the door was falling at pieces, dark rooms, stinky bathroom, and old beds and mattresses, avoid !!

We stayed here for the 1 night we stayed in Chelem. I think as there are not too many hotels in Chelem, this would probably be a good choice. It was pleasant as it has a nice, clean pool, chairs to sunbathe, a pool table and even tennis courts. There were a couple things that were off-putting, like the toilet...

Spent 2 nights here in Feb. 2011. The staff were very friendly and helpful to us, especially Alex and Raul. (We really enjoyed our stay here, but I feel I have to give it only 3 stars, in order to keep expectations realistic for typical American tourists. I took my dad to a small fishing town in Mexico called Chelem. We stayed at Hotel Las Garzas, and what a good time we had. The hotel is about 1/2 block frome the beach and about 4 blocks frome the town plaza. We felt we had the beach all to ourselfs. All you need is a towel and sandals....

las garzas was very accomodating, rooms were mexico style, they have bicycles for rent, confusion about airport pickup, we were at the airport, probably the only gringos on the plane, they said we owed them for this. when we got to the airport in merida, we didn't see anyone who looked like they were there to pick us up. it...
