During Our trip of Punakha we (me & my wife) stayed here for 1 night which was totally a basic stay. Actually it is run by a family. The member of family was helpful. The food was average. The amenities of hotel also so basic.
I stayed in this hotel in the first week of this month. Worst ever experience in hotel stay. In the hotel reception/lobby there was no body to attend us. Room lock was not working. So you have to keep the room entry door open while going outside!! Room had wifi but got it for half an hour only, then disconnected. Hotel attendant says this is ISP's problem, beyond their control!!! Room had PABX phone but no connection was there. Room had TV but only 21 inches. There was no coffee maker in the room.
Cheapest hotel with lots of free smell of meat and I'll mannered staff . If you go as couple they give you a twin sharing room asking you to adjust. If you are vegetarian , never ever go to this hotel . If you are looking for cheap hotel to for it .
We we were on the way to Bumathang and had to spend a night on the way, we decided to stay at Bajo town in Wangdue district on the suggestion of friend as this place is yet not commercialized hence you have better chances to get good budgeted hotel. Kinten is a budget hotel in a quite and laid back town Bajo. Hotel is run by females only. Rooms were basic with a wardrobe, table and a television. Bedding and bathroom were clean which is the most important thing. Hotel also has its own restaurant so we planned to had food there only but food was not something I would recommend at all, better eat out. Overall it's a good hotel and value for money minus food. I certainly like to express my views about Bajo town also as we really enjoyed our evening walk in this town which has few options to eat but experiencing the life of people here was like we were catapulted to our childhood when life was so easy with limited digital entertainment and the best way to pass your time was to mingle with family n friends when kids used to play carefree till late evenings...yes this town had this feeling where people were spending time with their friends n family over a drink and youngsters were roaming in groups... Though we spent only one night at Bajo but we really enjoyed our stay over there.…
Hotel Kinten is a nice option in New Bajo town, Wangdue for a stay, we stayed here after our visit to Punakha Dzong and next day planned to head towards Phobjika and Trongsa. Its a Budget hotel but the rooms are very clean and big enough, even the washrooms are clean, with Hot water. The staff is very friendly and on toes for help. The Hotel also has Restaurant and the food preparation was not that great, but as the eating options outside, are not much we settled with indoor dining. Overall its a nice place.
We stayed six people for one night. Note that, we booked the rooms through email and whatsapp, though checked in lately due to govt. holiday. Very friendly hosts and clean amenities. Both rooms had small balcony in the back. Toilets were clean, geyser/water heater were installed. Room heater were not provided in the rooms, because the weather was chilly but quite enjoyable at Wangdue valley. Note: breakfast/lunch/dinner will be provided only on pre-order.
This place has given me one of my most beautiful birthday memory. We had dinner here. Freshly cooked and served with lot of love. Madhav, Ganesh, Tshering and Kelden , you people are the best hosts ever and may god bless all of you. Looking forward to meeting all of you again soon.
I stayed in Kinten for a couple of nights. The rooms and bathrooms were clean. The room had a good balcony. The staff was very friendly and went that extra mile to make our stay comfortable. Wifi worked for an hour in the evening and was good enough. Bajo town was a cute town to stroll around. There is a farmers market right across kinten to buy some fresh fruits. The food in the restaurant was also fresh and good to eat. Probably the best choice in Bajo Town.
Initially we had booked at Tashi Gyatsel. Some confusion happened as person who took booking left. Gyatsel folks moved us to the hotel Kintel ( nice of them to work the alternative) We really loved the place. It feels new and super clean. Second night of stay today and liking every bit of it... Mostly we ate in the same restaurant.. Friendly and caring staff. Food is decent. This is the kinda small hotel and town, I would love to spend few days doing nothing... Bajo town is small charming place... New township. And walk near the river next to agricultural university is good.
After a long journey and the amidst of uncertainy to find a good place to stay between Punakha and Phobjikha we turned towards Wangdue ad this is when we came across this beautiful Hotel. I really loved this one as we had a double and a single bed room with a balcony attached to the double bed room. The room was well furnished with and was nicely lighted. The bed linen was clean and tugged nicely. Aprt from the room the hospitality and th food was equally at par. We had our dinner there as we opted not to go out at night. The food served was hot and tasty with low spices and fresh vegetables.
