This hotel is just next to a fast flowing river and although it is also next to a bust road, the trees around the place make the hotel a very peaceful place to stay and relax. There are also some swings and tables set up around the hotel for guests to sit outdoors to enjoy the sound of water and birds chirping. The suite room was nice comfortable and I truly enjoyed my stayed at the resort. I wished I could have extended my stay for another day to just rest in the resort. Dinner and breakfast was above average. The staff were very helpful and courteous.

The song of the thrush announcing the break of dawn, the gurgling brook, birds chirping in the morning and evening, the greenery that soothes the digitally tired eyes, tasty food that satiates the palate - this is kichu in a nutshell. It was 2 days of today bliss. Rooms are small and cozy and offer a great view of the brook and the hills. there is neat place to sit near the brook , so for all the nature and book lovers - this is your spot. The spread for dinner and breakfast was decent and the food was tasty. We loved every moment of our stay.

Our room is literally just 10m away from the rushing river. The hotel is surrounded by lush greenery and we had a tranquil night at the resort, falling asleep to the sound of the water rushing down the river. Dinner was vegetarian but it was the most delicious dinner that I had amongst the hotels that I stayed in Bhutan, including a 4 star hotel. The next morning, the hotel staff were waiting to help us with our luggage. The ladies even helped to dress me up in the traditional Kira to attend the festival at Gangtey! Despite other reviews about the internet connection, ours was alright. Overall, we had a good stay at Kichu Resort.

This resort is nestled next to a lovely river. We just stopped here for tea and yummy cookies while touring around Bhutan. The sheets were hanging out on the line and adorable black puppies roaming around.

A lovely well maintained resort on the banks of a fast flowing river. Just outside your cottage balcony is the river and across that is dense forest. It was a pleasure to sit and watch the myriads of birds that are thriving in these forest and listing to the constant sound of the gushing river. The food served is vegetarian and absolutely delicious, they server Indian and continental food. The staff is very warm and courteous. Would certainly recommend this resort.

We ended up at Kichu due to botch up in reservation by our earlier hotel. being last moment reservation could not got much time to preview the hotel beforehand but I got the great surprise. Here I will take opportunity to thank the person who had messed up my booking and I got to visit this wonderful place on earth. Place is sandwiched in valley between two mountains, road on the left & glacier fed river on the right and jungle on other side mountain of the river. Nothing around, only sound of free flowing water of the river. Little slope creates tiny water fall enhances a great view. Hotel is little below the road can not see road from the hotel ground unless big vehicle is passing thus you feel like your are living between two mountains which don't have distance more than 300 meteres. The location was so great everything else become secondary & immaterial to me. Rooms were bit small with balcony on river. Rooms & Bathroom were neat & clean. Bathroom had good toiletries collection. Hot water all the time. Thanks to chef & staff who prepared our customized dinner & serve us Items which were not on the menu. complimentary breakfast was simple, fresh & tasty. If you are with kids keep it's needed things & food loaded with you, this place is atleast 15-20 kms. away from any town. We got the best speed wi-fi even in room here in this remotely placed hotel in our entire Bhutan trip Staff was very co operative & happy to help. How can I forget Sangey but not Sanjay dutt, interesting fellow most of the time & boring few time. if you need pin drop silence while sleeping forget this place as gushing water music is permanent feature here at least in summer I guess. This place is heaven for those who love nature & peace.

Be a Nomad by location, yet live with urban comforts! This place is unique by it's identity. Dip down to the stream and lo behold, you've a cluster of cottages and stone paved pathways. Just escape to the flowing stream and forget yourself in the music of the waters .. All minimum comforts of a resort and the bonus is you're nested in the bowl of nature;

This place Kichu Resorts is one of the best places to be close to nature, and be with yourself. The wooden cottages are close to the river and you have the music of flowing water all along punctuated by the calls of the birds .The vegetarian food is simple but delicious and the staff extremely courteous. I would very strongly recommend this to all the nature lovers!!

The rooms are next to a stream. You sleep to the sound of the stream and wake up to the chirping of birds. The property has a decent sized lawn. The view of the mountains from the lawn is soothing. Rooms are just enough size. The taste of the food was varying. On day one, the food taste was great. On day two, there were more guests and the food quality dropped. For the money they charge for the food, I would have expected consistency is taste! WiFi wasn't working in the room.
