Stayed in the hotel for one night in deluxe room. The room was good and clean. You can feel nostalgic of 90's after seeing the old CRT tv ;) . View of Puna Tshang Chhu from the hotel is awesome. The only thing I didn't like about this hotel is the choice of Breakfast. There was no Buffet and very limited option of food.
Had booked two rooms directly with the hotel for one night on 8th Oct 2019. The booking was inclusive of breakfast and diner. Property is very good, beautiful garden overlooks the rooms and the view is great. But the hotel fell below my expectations for the price it commands. The tv sets are of primitive type, CRT ones, with blurred pictures and sound. The washroom has only a shower with no tap system below. We were given a A-size printout of the menu - very ordinary one having just 1 non veg item, murg makkhani. No options whatsoever. For three persons, one small bowl of chicken with 4 small pieces were served Breakfast was similar with very choices but was still much better than diner options. One thing which deserves a special mention is the cheese cake they served. It was one thing that was really good. All in all, the experience was average, far below my expectations.…
Property is located on a river bank and has a good ambiance. Restaurant serves vegetarian Indian cuisine. Staff is warm and friendly. Rooms and cozy and well ventilated. Try booking rooms on the upper floor and overlooking river.
Cute Riverfront resort. Unbelievable view of river & valley from the rooms & balcony. Nice garden. Big rooms.... clean. Daily housekeeping. Good food...veg & non veg. Nice staff. Good complimentary breakfast. Nice restaurant. No complaints. A little upkeep & installation of a.c. may fetch 5 star
I was there in early March, 2019 with a few friends. This is the transition from off-season to season, due to which there was not too much of a rush. Only one other family, perhaps. Hence, the hotel paid attention to our needs. This hotel is one of the few that offer quality accommodation and serve Indian food in (and near) Punakha. While the hotel is not exactly in Punakha, it is worth staying there. The staff is great and the Indian food is great for a secluded town in Bhutan. The staff is polite and will always serve with you a smile. The hotel is on the banks of the river, however, there is no access to the riverside itself. The rooms are fairly spacious and come with a standard TV and fridge. The loo in the rooms are decent, but as is with most hotels in Bhutan, the water pressure in the showers isn't that great. We had a huge Toyota Hiace van since 8 of us friends were on a holiday. There was enough parking space for at least, 8-10 such vans. The hotel is relatively close to the Fertility Temple, a short hike you must make from the main road. If you've heard of Bhutan's obsession with phallus murals, etc.; this is where it started! The Punakha Dzong is a bit of a drive from the hotel but a must-don on your itinerary. There is a cable bridge right behind the Dzong, which also you should experience. Punakha is also famous for white-water rafting. Though you need to go during the season since the river levels are higher with the snow melting. Best check online.…
We give a five for the location - on the banks of the river. Facing the river. Food served was India, with variations with bread etc. A very comfortable place for short stay. They do have spa other attractions. The location is mesmerizing.
The Resort is in the best location i would tell that if you ever want to find peace you will have to come here.Well, there was good food and refreshing spa treatments. With of course a wonderful location. The location should not be missed and very welcoming people. It was my best experience out there.
