Had a terrific 3 day break here,we were allocated the double room at the back.Could not have wished for a more relaxing break.Food was exceptional and the hosts, Keith & Lesley, could not have been more welcoming. The local people were also very friendly.

Stayed again at the Foresters, this time with my parents in law. Mom in law celebrated her 90th birthday whilst we were there and Lesley (one of the hosts) gave her a lovely bunch of flowers-nice gesture! This time my husband and I had the double room at the back which afforded excellent views. Once again excellent hospitality from Lesley...

A quiet Friday lunch time but we ordered fish and chips and some interesting cider from NewZealand. It was lovely, the fish was beautiful and we enjoyed a very warm welcome . Please support these rural pubs or they won't exist.

A lovely open fire and friendly hosts welcomed us in from the snow storm. Hearty meals were served and enjoyed by all, perhaps lacking in presentation but good quality fodder none the less. Excellent choice of wines. Fantastic choice of gins 13 in total. Looking forward to returning to the Gin Tasting Evening soon.

Stayed at the Foresters Arms for the second time in a few weeks due to business locally. The rooms are very well decorated with the most comfortable bed I've slept in for a long time. The view from the double room over the Dale is stunning, a pair of binoculars is there for you to enjoy the view even more....

We were impressed that Lesley arranged food for a couple who walked in even though the chef had gone off duty. Nice...

The Foresters Arms is a lovely warm and welcoming Yorkshire country pub that serves really good quality food. The crayfish cocktail starter was absolutely fantastic, followed by a well portioned Sunday lunch of beef and fresh vegetables. All topped off for me with a lovely sticky toffee pudding with lovely butterscotch sauce and great ice cream. We look forward to...
