Please don't broadcast this too loud.... but we have discovered a wee farmhouse on this tiny island, the Isle of coll.

This is our secret and not too many people know of it. In fact, without a 4 wheel drive vehicle you may never find it.

Hidden at the end of a beautiful stretch of powder white beach, surrounded by turquise seas, this place is just sheer heaven. Otters, whales, corncrakes, good home cooking, fantastic hospitality. Dogs are made welcome. Cream teas to die for. Birdwatchers will be enchanted!!

For peace, relaxation, nature at its very best, nothing in the world can compare to Caolas Farmhouse on the isle of Coll. We found it by sheer chance on the Isle of Coll website. It may be a bit of a trek on foot, but what a rewarding experience.

Just spent a few days on the Isle of Coll, Inner Hebrides Scotland. I visited after reading the reviews and must say I was not disappointed in any way.
The wildlife was wonderful, beaches and especially the RSPB reserve
which was the main reason for my visit.
The roads are poor at the moment due to construction of the airport but apart from that I can highly recommend the island. I was made to feel at home at Caolas Farmhouse which is at the southern tip of the island and quite remote. Will be back again!!
