This was probably my favourite hostel in India. The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable and the staff/volunteers are friendly and helpful (Shout out to Matt, Sydney, and David). There are a number of common areas with different vibes so there's always a place to hang out. The hostels bar is trendy and does great cheap food and drinks. The hostel offers a ton of tours/activities every single day which helps to make the most of your trip and makes it super easy to make friends. The only downside is that there was a promised pool which was inaccessible.

Booked a private room which is separate from the main hostel building, which was fine. We contacted them asking for help on directions to reach the hostel but they never replied. Upon arriving the staff answered questions, but weren’t necessarily friendly. Breakfast was nice, but it took about 40 mins for eggs to arrive after asking about them twice. We also booked the shuttle bus to another hostel in Palolem, which they conveniently forgot about as only two of us signed up. They then claimed it was ‘broken down’ and couldn’t take us, but then after talking to the manager he offered to pay for a taxi there, which was a nice gesture. The pool was closed off which was one of the main reasons why we booked the hostel. Not sure if we would return.

I would rate it as one of my best finds...good people, clean rooms and bathrooms, lively common areas and the best place to make new friends! What else can u want from a hostel stay... Only dissapointment was the pool area, which i was looking forward to, after seeing its pictures on the websites, is now SHUT!! I hope the management reopens it.

I had book a private room. When i reached they gave me room which was not in hostel campus. Moreover the quality of room and facilities were worst. Bed was just made of ply. Most of the furniture was broken. No hot water in the bathroom. Shower was 75% blocked. No soaps or shampoo. They gave only 1 towel in a private room for 2 adults. Pool area is completely closed and under renovation. Don’t fall for photos. Check real photos by travellers. Not worth it.

We were given what is called as the Lions Room at Jungle which was damp and poorly lit. The room did not have any cabinet/shelf to keep your stuff and clothes. The toilet seat was broken, and no matter how long you keep the exhaust fan open, the toilet remained wet due absence of window. No blanket given in AC room, only a thin bedsheet was provided in place of a blanket. The staff working there have no decisive powers, everything is decided by the “management” from whom the staff takes permission even for smallest things. Breakfast is very basic. The pool showed in the pictures is very different from actual pool, not in a good way. The only good thing about this place is the upscale cafe in front and proximity to beach and market. Not sure how the dorms are but the private room is not adequate for the price they charge. Not coming back here.

I stayed for one week in the end of September and I'm really glad I choose this place. Its in a great location really close to Anjuna, Baga and Arambol Beach and in walking distance to Vagator and Chapora Beach. The rooms were cleaned daily and really nice. I loved the free breakfast and the lovely cafe as well. This place is perfect for everyone who wants to be to in a social environment but its also possible to just relax. I also loved the Yoga classes in the morning. Will definitely come back here when I'm in Goa next year!

The atmosphere is amazing! high vibes and great energy, staff & guests! Seriously couldn’t recommend anywhere better to stay. Events are always happening and someone is always willing to lend a hand and help in anyway. You rock Jungle hostel thanks for being a home away from home!
