I would recommend blu resort. The cottages are nice , basic and comfortable. The sprawling lawns add to the feel of the place esp in the night.

The food that we ordered in room service was simply lip smacking.

However the breakfasts played a bummer. Very limited breakfast options and not tasty as well.

There was shortage of staff due to covid and they were running helter skelter since the resort was packed.

The management was certainly not prepared to handle the holiday rush.

There is definitely scope for improvement. I enjoyed my stay here though.

Extremely good value for money - the hotel is very well positioned with the flea market, the Chapora fort, the beaches, cafes & boutiques of Assagoa...all within 10-15 mins.
We rented their highest category room & got an open to air washroom that was really nice...the room is also reasonably spacious & the bed was big enough for 2 adults & 1 kid. Their pool is small but ok for cooling down. Their breakfast was really nice too!
All in all - very good value for money & absolutely recommended!

A small resort with cottages, a garden, and a place to unwind. It has a very small pool and a bar as well. The rooms are spacious. However, the bathrooms were bit small and odorous. The place is a good chill-out spot for those who don't want to venture out much while in Goa.
There are excellent options for lunch and dinner at the restaurant, as well as a decent breakfast buffet (250+taxes per head). Due to our wandering, we only ate one lunch here (prawn biriyani, which was delicious).
Priyanka, the staff here is very friendly and I loved the resort cat. Each night after we returned, he napped on our lap while we talked. Leaving him was one of the hardest moments.

After seeing the images and reviews of this place, I was looking forward to my stay. I paid INR 7000 per night all inclusive for my stay during new years (Dec 2020). As I arrived, I was shocked to see the poorly maintained villa and the kind of crowd the hotel had.
In a nutshell, I'd say they made the hotel, clicked and uploaded pictures at that time and have forgotten bout it since. It looks nothing like the pictures. Added to the damage of the filthy room and an even scarier "open bathroom" , the staff is clueless. Below is my detailed review on what went wrong, which is basically everything!

Negatives:

1. Filthy, unclean, poorly maintained villa (images attached)

2. This isn't Bali. The "Open bathroom" is more scary than exotic. And you will remember me when you see everything from lizards to monkeys when you poop and shower.

3. Clueless staff. Absolutely dumb. No one is trained, no one knows anything, no one is available when you need them.

4. Valet will take your keys mandatorily and when you want to leave, your car will be blocked and there will be no one to attend. We had to wait for 45 mins each time. The staff once told me that the valet guy is having breakfast. Are you serious?

5. If you are someone who would like to have good crowd where you stay, this isn't the place for you.

6. Below average breakfast for the room prices

7. Our room wasn't cleaned for a whole day. We came back to soiled sheets and unfolded blankets. When we complained, the lady at the counter-questioned if we kept our keys at the reception for room cleaning. Also, no one will inform you about this when you check in.

8. Our bedsheet had a hole, the blanket made me scratch my skin all night and the room has a subtle smell which was not pleasant.

Hotel is kind of OK situation. When I reached to reception I was offered with welcome drink on that his manager gave a look to his staff that he has made a mistake by offering me a welcome drink.
I was tired by long journey so I wanted to Take rest. The room was allocated to me when I entered in room I found a frog inside WC. When I asked them their approach was so casual like if there was a snake also they only bother. Finally after long argument they gave me another smelly room.
After 2 hours my friends joined when we all asked them we shifted into another room.
When we complaint in morning that AC is not effective their response was so cold that they were informimg us in evening that it can't be rectified and we have to change one more room when next day early morning you have flight.
Evening I asked them for airport drop they said that they will arrange in morning. When morning I asked they said that this is number you can speak and arrange by yourself.
Overall it was a good trip but disappointed by Blu resort team behavior.

Excellent ambience, nice resort with Bali theme villas & basic pool, restaurant set up.
Very close from all happening places & restaurants in north.
Most importantly the luxury & calm atmosphere is at fraction of cost, you may spend with 4star hotel chain.
Breakfast at in-house restaurant is just perfect with limited but good options to start your day

Overall supervalue to every ₹₹₹ spent,

Special mention to Samir Dave, GM of property to ensure great ambience & services with professional staff.

The restaurant has great North Indian & Chinese food. The staff are very friendly. The rooms are in a very bad condition and need to be renovated. I tripped many times on floor boards (see pic). The rooms with open bathroom have frogs and lizards in bath area, especially at night. The open room also feels very unsafe, as theres a vacant plot with tall trees adjacent. Guests staying in same category rooms, some get outdoor chairs and some not, even if you call and ask repeatedly. There is a beautiful outdoor seating area, which unfortunately is full of stray dogs at night. The staff try to shoo them away but they keep coming back. One dog also turned aggressive when we returned late night back to our room. We wanted to raise our concerns with the manager. He was supposed to call us, which never happened. Value for money is not good. I will not recommend staying here.

Hosted my son’s wedding here and all I can say is I am proud of selecting the venue.
Host - Mr. Sameer Dave, Amar, Pyaare, Kaamna, the Chefs, and the entire staff strength were Mr Yes. In my years of travel experience I have found that good service compensates everything but here nothing needed compensation, we were pampered.
Neat rooms, open air bathrooms, manicured lawns and outstanding food.
Thank you team Blu.

A beautiful property that is not maintained, the hygiene is terrible and the staff is disinterested. A sub-standard experience, the food at the breakfast was stale and old. The staff didn't even bother sharing any remorse when we told them about the rats we had spotted. Everything from poor water pressure, bad service, poor hygiene made it a terrible experience, we had to change our hotels last minute.

Overhyped, Overpriced, Overrated. The property is very good and sprawling with adequate parking space. But lacks maintenance. The bamboo walls of the bathroom were half rotten and were blackish with algae and fungus. The non-concrete part of the floor had leaves and dirt strewn all over. The wall corners of the bathroom had cobwebs - not cleaned even after informing the front desk. The doors were dated and needs renovation. Room was just basic. The lawn at the centre was wonderful with nice seating options. The pool was nice but felt the water a bit too chlorinated.
