Stayed at Casabela for 2 nights at a oyo price of 3990/-. Booked a suit (201) 1) Room was well maintained, 2) Amenities in the room was basic, and no expectations as logical for the price paid, they do keep a body jel and a hand soap. (get your own toilateries) or you could just buy it from the many markets around. .the towels and face towels have marks on it which for a hygiene freak won't like it. 3) There is no Ird available so eat for the night or u will remain hungry kitchen closes at 11. 4) Breakfast is included which is an omlette and 2 toasts. Main concern for the suit is that they have an upper deck with a bed which is very comfortable, however the railing support is just a metal bar and no covering, vertically. This means that you lose ur balance you have a chance of having a nasty fall, as there is no complete protection. Do not let children or elderly sleep up cause it can be dangerous. They have a good restaurant called beetle pub which serves good food and at a reasonable price. Over all its a good stay for a day or 2. The reason I am giving it an average is because they have to look into the railing as it could be very dangerous. …
Being a frequent traveller to Goa due to official and leisure purpose, I can without any doubt say its one of the best property in and around Porvorim at this price point. Rooms are simply amazing, location is having proximity to the Mumbai GOA national highway. In house room service is flawless and Beetle Bar is one of its kind Restaurant in GOA a must visit. Mall de goa is only 15 mins walk. For business and offical purpose the property is highly recommended.
This place is a guest house instead of a proper hotel. The rooms are super spacious, beds are comfortable. Hygiene is OK, but there were instances of seeing pests which were promptly rectified. Food is super delicious. We were business travelers and so our expenses were borne by the company so cannot comment on pricing of rooms or food.
It is apartment converted to a hotel. Got a very good deal at the beginning of season in Goa. Free breakfast does'nt have much of a choice. Service is slow and sluggish. Rooms are spacious and good. Need to hire a vehicle since it is quite a distance from the beach and other tourist spots. Wi-fi is free but did not work in my stay so unreliable. Hygiene is not an issue.
I live very close to this place and visit their restaurant quite frequently. They serve nice Italian food. Indian and Goan food not so great. Also, I have I have booked the hotel rooms several times in the past for my in-laws. The rooms have a little European touch to their interiors. Very comfortable and spacious enough for the amount of money you pay. The place is very peaceful though its right in between two main roads... Chogm road(to baga, calangute, etc) on one side and NH17 on the other.
Stayed for one night while in Porvorim on a business trip. It's more like a service apartment than a hotel. Location is average coz there is no view to boast about. And isn't on the highway either. Surrounded by residential houses so it's gets quiet and deserted after sunset. You won't even find a lot of people in the hotel either. Rooms however are extremely clean and spacious. The bathrooms are spotless with a good shower (hot water in the shower isn't available after dark) and basic amenities like soap, shampoo, conditioner & body lotion. Enough bath linen too. Rooms come with hot water kettle, tea/ coffee supplies, a full wardrobe, safe vault, a mini refrigerator and flat screen TV with Tata Sky. I wasn't provided with a complimentary bottle of water and since I was anyway carrying my own bottle, I didn't ask. But I honestly think that this should have been provided. The in house restaurant doesn't look very fancy but they did serve some amazing wood fired pizzas. I even ordered pasta for lunch at office the next day which was delicious too. Overall a pleasant stay. …
Hi I have stayed with my family for 3 night's from 18 till 21 May , I would like to share the experience that it is a very good hotel room was very good , neet and clean and the food was excellent . Over all it is value for money. Hotel staff were very nice and polite specially the Manager Mr Ajay.
Smallish boutique hotel. A little difficult to find the first time. Service is good. Food at their restaurant is very well prepared & the presentation is good. There was a little confusion when we were there. We had ordered a plate of Rawa fried Chonak fish (white snapper) for 2 people. Our waiter brought us a whole 2.5 Kg fish- fried & garnished!!
Our family visited Goa during Diwali 2012 ( Nov 2nd week). My sister and brother-in-law too joined from Bangalore. All of us stayed at Casabela in Porvorim. We got a decent deal 1 night complimentary for 3 nights stay. Some friends asked us why we were selecting a Hotel that's a few kilometres away from the beaches. I said we had other places to visit than just lie on the beaches the whole day ( and night).Goa has several beautiful beaches. It has also several beautiful temples and churches. We visited the Spice Park ( near Ponda), the Big Foot Museum at Loutolim, Donna Paula and other attractions. We visited Miramar, Calangute, Colva and Vagator beaches, one every day. We had loads of fun on the Jet Skis and Motor Boat rides.Late evening we went for a Cruise ride. All this was possible due to a good taxi driver ( Mr.Gajanan + 91 9850658099) who took excellent care of us. The Accommodation at the Hotel was good. We had a large clean room with all the modern amenities. It had an extra double bed on the upper level ( almost like a loft). 2 Adults could sleep. They could stand comfortably as the ceiling is high. The Hotel has amateurs for Room Service and this is quite a pain to handle. The Split AC in our room was taking long to cool. It was quite sultry and it took us quite a while to adjust. The boys would shut of the Hot water and we had to request the Manager to release the hot water for bathing ( on our return from the beaches). But for the Manager ( Davies) we would have quit the very first day. The boys used Duplicate keys to barge into our room in the night ( apparently because some guest arriving past midnight had been allocated our room by mistake). When this happened 1 hour later I lost my cool and fired the boys. I normally chain the door from inside. This time I was confident no one would come in till breakfast time in the morning. It was a timely warning. The Hotel itself is in the midst of a quite residential locality. It has a restaurant that claims to serve several types of food. We only ordered breakfast ( very sparse selection ...corn flakes or bread toast). On the day we were leaving we got a proper breakfast , again thanks to Mr.Davies...fresh orange juice, vegetable sandwiches, fruit platter, corn flakes and tea /coffee. On another evening we had a decent dinner as Mr Davies gave specific instructions to the Chef. This is a Budget hotel ( although prices are above average). All of us enjoyed our stay. However, if I have to visit Goa on a holiday again I will choose some other exotic place to stay.…
We stayed in the casabela hotel, porvorim in the month of April. The hotel is located a little away from the city. So, it was calm and quiet. At the same time it is only a few minutes of cab ride from baga, calingute and panjim. The hotel arranged a cab for us at a very reasonable price. The rooms were very clean, spacious and well furnished. The restaurant provides a wide variety of delicious indian, goan and italian food. The staff was very prompt, helpful and very hospitable. We enjoyed our stay there and would definitely go back.
