We had a great stay at Posada De Tigua on our way to Quilotoa to hike the crater rim. The surroundings are very beautiful, with green fields and mountain hills in all directions. Easy to jump of the bus that went from Latacunga to Zumbahua, and the next day we got a hitch hike to Zumbahua though it shouldn't be...

A wonderful old house with farm beside set in agricultural valley with mountains all round. Great atmosphere with antique furniture, wooden floors and local artefacts on the walls. Your Hosts Margarita and Marco are truly hospitable and will see that everything is right - Margarita ran us to the road in a downpour. The food was delicious, 100% Ecuadorian, fresh...

Our group of 5 adults stayed with Marguerita and staff for two nights. The location in the hills is magical...very beautiful. The evening meals in the dining room, complete with candlelight and canelazo were wonderful. Upon Marguerita's recommendation, we attended a local fiesta (bullfight, procession, band, etc.) was a highlight of our trip to Ecuador.

We were two travelers doing the Quilotoa loop by car. The Posada is run by a very friendly hostess, Marguerita, and her son. It's a working a farm, so there's fresh cheese and yogurt. Dinner is served family style. It's a great place for backpackers and trekkers to get a comfortable meal and sleep before heading out.

This was an amazing place. We came socking wet from the rain and Margarita was extremely accommodating and hospitable. She even cook hot soup for us on a spot and it was delicious. This is fully operational farm where you can see how local people leave. Nature around the house is so pristine and surreal, especially in the early morning....

My friend and I only stayed here one night as we were hiking around the Quilotoa Loop, but it was one of the best stays of our time in Ecuador! The family that runs this farm is fantastic and they really make the experience special. The farm and house are stunningly beautiful, set against the sunrises and sunsets and brilliant...

What a beautiful gem along the Quilatoa loop! After an intense hike from Chugchillan to Quilatoa we took a taxi from Quilatoa to Tigua and were so happy we did! Our taxi dropped us off in the arts center of Tigua (and we were so glad to have the time to see the beautiful painting and masks of the region)....

We were two couples, and only for one night. However, we had a great stay. The other guests were fun and great conversation was had around the fire and also at meals. Our friends got a huge room and ours was somewhat smaller, for the same price of $35 per person. Both rooms were very comfortable with a private bathroom...

We stayed two nights in this posada en loved every minute of it, the people are very nice, the food is delicious, the working farm is heartwarming with the cows, sheep, lamas and donkeys gathering every night, the surroundings are remote and very beautiful (nice walking), the only drawback is that it gets cold after dark and life will stop...
