Nov. 2, 2016- rainy season. This resort IS NOT in the town of Bacalar. This resort is at the northern tip of the lagoon, there is no highway signage for the resort either. Instead, be on the lookout for a bright blue banner strung up on the side of the highway that reads, "Bacalar Lagoon Resort", and turn down the...

I recently stayed at Bacalar Lagoon Resort as part of my trip to Quintana Roo Mexico. The cabanas are quite comfy, the food was excellent, and our host very pleasant and welcoming. The lake is fantastic: calm and crystal clear like a swimming pool. Sunrise over the lake is spectacular. Few resorts of this kind live up to the expectations...

If you are looking for a peaceful and beautiful get away this is it. A very quiet and private place. No lines, no buffets just real relaxing. The cabins are comfortable and charming. Lake Bacalar in so beautiful. Clear waters to swim, snorkel and kayak. We rented a car at the airport and drove down. The drive was easy and...

We went as part of an excursion with family ranging from 13 years old to 75 everyone enjoyed. I would go back as a destination. The food, drinks and recreation were all very good. The lagoon is as picturesque as anything I have seen. Cant wait to go back in November.

The buildings are new, the setting is lovely, the host is amazingly accommodating, and the food was delicious. OUr casita near the water had good A/C, so we slept well,...

My family and I stayed here and had an amazing time! The food was very good. The resort itself is incredible. The kids played in the water while we relaxed under the palapas. We did not see the 7 shades of blue in the lagoon because of the time we went. We will definitely go back if in the area...

We visited this resort as part of a cruise excursion. We were treated to wonderful Mexican food which was vegetarian friendly. The lagoon was beautiful and serene. We were given the choice to swim, kayak or relax by the water. The drive was interesting as we passed by a pineapple plantation. Highly recommended!

Fantastic retreat hidden at the end of a winding jungle road on the shores of stunning Lake Bacalar. A real gem in a lovely, off-the-beaten-path part of Mexico. Thoughtfully designed thatch roofed bungalows are set among beautifully maintained tropical trees and gardens surrounded by a lush forest often filled with bird song. Our bungalow was simple but comfortable, attractively decorated,...
